The out MC knew what he was getting into and knew why the other guy was staying closeted. I was so confused that it seemed to escalate, the horribleness of the closet, GIVEN how the chaos and stress of his life THAT WAS KEEPING HIM CLOSETED was literally getting worse and worse? Why didn't they work together to change their circumstances to that coming out was more realistic instead of just guilting him over it again and again? ...more

I was a bit disappointed that the coming out was because someone ended up in the hospital, solely because its such a cliche and this author is so inventive. I was also a bit weirded out that Eli warned about going through a depression after his injury and that never really happened. But both of these criticisms are really nit picky, this book was awesome! ...more

Maybe the coach's behaviour was plausible, but the rest of **spoiler alert** The whole situation with the university administration was unbelievable. Maybe the coach's behaviour was plausible, but the rest of it was just asking for a law suit. Also the pacing was INSANE, like the entire book, where so much took place, happened in a 2 week period? That really ruined the book for me. It would have been way more organic if they had dated for a few months in secret before everything else happened. ...more
