About the Drama Course

About the Drama Course

Unleash your creativity with our Drama Course for students aged 11 to 18. Designed for all levels of experience, our Drama Course will see you access high-quality training from our Guildhall Young Artists network of teachers wherever you are in the world.

Who is it for?

Actors or aspiring actors aged 11 to 18 who would like to learn to act or develop existing skills.

What can I expect?

One-to-One Sessions

  • You will be assigned a tutor for six hours of one-to-one acting tuition each term (one hour per session).

  • During your first session, you will discuss your requirements and experience with your tutor who will put together a personal development plan for you. This will be sent to you after your first session and will be updated to suit your requirements throughout each term.

  • Whilst your tutor can put together a plan and suggest topics for each session, you are also invited to discuss any acting requirements that you would like to focus on. For example, if you have an audition to prepare for or are looking for the perfect monologue, your tutor will tailor the one-to-one sessions around this.

  • One-to-one tuition can be arranged directly with your tutor on a day and at a time that is mutually convenient for you both.

Group Workshops

  • You will get four hours of class teaching each term (one hour per session) led by Aled Pedrick. Group workshops will take place at the beginning and end of each half-term. These are an opportunity to meet and collaborate with like-minded participants from around the world.

  • Students will be placed in classes based on prior experience and ability.

  • In the final workshop of each term, students will be invited to informally present their work to the group and receive feedback from staff and peers on their performance.

  • Students will participate in these classes on four Tuesdays per term. Another day/time may be arranged for the 2024/25 academic year. If the current time is unsuitable for you, please mention this in your enquiry.

  • Group classes are recorded and made available for catch-up for students unable to attend.

Please note class content could be subject to change.
