Terra Agrioli was a mob princess who was dating guys below her level. One day when a ex-boyfriend got physical with her, Michael Tripp came to the rescue. Tripp was an ex military but current arms smuggler and he just didn't do relationships. Once he met Terra, everything changed. He told her that he "wanted to earn the right to watch you pull your panties up your thigh...to reach around and clasp your bra while watching me watch you..."
They began seeing each other but withholding some crucial information about each other. The more time they spent together, the more it was clear that they both were in it for the long haul. Of course, mob life is never smooth sailing.
Tripp was sexy and very direct. I enjoyed his character a little more than Terra's. She wasn't stupid but a little more naive than a mob princess should be. The narrator made this book even better for me and I plan on going right into book 2.

I do not believe Ava was mentioned at all, and if she was, I missed it!
I found this last book to be the funniest in the series. I also found the writing to be a little different. Ava was a hand model who found herself trying to rescue her best friend from mob boss Duvall who is holding her hostage.
The adventure between Ava and Rafe reminded me of Six Days, Seven Nights with Anne Heche and Harrison Ford. It was survival in the jungle, where romance also bloomed. Ava wasn't as prima donna as I expected but I loved the jokes about Rafe's male member. It was just too funny. Godzilla, the monster etc. Hilarious.
The plot was okay, but the gradual relationship between Ava and Rafe, where they were able to provide a new lease of life for each other was a clincher for me. I like how the authors made each book different. Each heroine had their own quirks, their own personality and I never felt like I was reading the same book again. In addition, I appreciate it when authors don't add gratuitous sex scenes. Even though there was a good amount of sex talk, it worked for the book.
The adventure, sex, and eventual defeat of Duvall's cartel made this series one of the more enjoyable Romantic suspense series I have read in a long time.

I enjoyed this story. Cress and Ez had a concrete understanding of commitment and they held onto that. Their journey to trust and loveride or die love
I enjoyed this story. Cress and Ez had a concrete understanding of commitment and they held onto that. Their journey to trust and love felt authentic and solid. It was a little mafia but not really. I would have loved a little better explanation about the bipolar disorder journey and treatment....more
Laura was a high power attorney whose was brought in to broker a sale of a business to the Kuschenko familya touch of BDSM with this Bratva love story
Laura was a high power attorney whose was brought in to broker a sale of a business to the Kuschenko family, part of the Bratva. Laura bluffs her way to the better part of the deal earning the respect and admiration of Maksim Kuschenko and he asks her out.
Laura seems both super confident and super insecure. She’s confident in her sexuality but then she’s not. She doesn’t want to be a sub but she kind of does. She was a bit all over the place as a character so I didn’t quite connect with her. Maksim was consistent as an alpha. He was clear about how he felt and what he wanted. I enjoyed him as a hero and as a brother to his siblings.
I think I will continue the series but I won’t listen to the book because i enjoyed book better than the narration....more

Wow. What a tale of family, crime and relationships. It’s not for the faint at heart but it has some heart warming moments too. Demon Montana was a force to be reckoned with. The moniker “Demon” was earned and deserved because Demon is one that you don’t want to mess with.
When the Castle family came knocking at the Montana door to apologize for a slight committed by son DeAngelo, the head of the family Dante sets into motion a plan that unites the family as well as begins to address old enemies that were due for payback.
This book was so interesting from beginning to end. Definitely some trauma in both families past. But some really sexy scenes take the edge off the intense moments. Dream was a good match for Demon’s rage. She was tough enough to ensure her siblings were okay. She humanizes Demon and it was really cool to witness the journey from Demon to Damien.
I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more from this author....more
I was expecting a mafia romance, but it was very little Bratva. but I was very happy with this story becauNot really a mafia romance but a good story
I was expecting a mafia romance, but it was very little Bratva. but I was very happy with this story because it was a really good love story about resilience. Darby and Kellen both had a giant mountain of childhood trauma to overcome but their bond as kids and teenagers became a beacon of hope that gave them something to hold on to while all those around them tried to crush their spirit.
I didn’t like this title because Kellan wasn’t even in the top 3 evil people in this story. In fact, he felt so much, just like Darby. I love how little Darby gave him biscuits, fairy stories and just simple things like water. In turn, he later gave her courage to fight back and rescue him from the brotherhood and banish the voices in her head telling her she was stupid and worthless.
How could no one but a little girl notice what was happening to the little boy who lived with a priest? That’s just crazy. Also, no one came looking for John? No one from his firm? I would think a Harvard grad would have someone or some fiends who would come looking for answers.
I hope Kellan joins Darby in therapy one day and yoga too! ...more

It’s supposed to be a mafia story but what the actual conflict is has eluded me. I do understand there is a Romantic push and pull with Mercedes and Judge but I expected more chemistry. Mercedes seems more like a spoiled brat than a ruthless mob princess so I don’t buy the tough girl act. I’m more interested in Judge’s relationship with his brother and what that means for their family Business. ...more

Danika Dayal was impressive as a niece to a corrupt business man who had a hand in the death of people she loved. Danika was very adept at being seen but not been noticed at the same time so she used that skill to become a proficient hacker. For her long term plan to destroy her uncle she had to enlist the help of her childhood friend and crush, Nikhil King.
There was a lot of push and pull between Dani and Nik but unfortunately I didn’t feel their chemistry. Their sex scenes didn’t really feel sexy and it just didn’t work. I didn’t buy the BDSM element. I didn’t feel it but I am looking forward to Nik’s brother who was thought to be dead but reappeared. That drama was set up nicely in book 1 so I will be reading book 2. .
I am more excited for the second book since it'll be about Jayna and Kiran's. These two have a more solid foundation. ...more

It could use a but more foundation about Maksim and Blaire to appreciate their journey as master-servant dynamic. It’s not a BDSM story but more of an ownership master-worker/slave mob story. But a former friend turned rival Charlie comes into the picture and Blaire is caught in the middle of their personal tug of war. [image] I was mostly bored in the story and the writing style felt stiff. I imagined Blaire as a female Jason Bourne with a possessive sadist as her boss. I did enjoy the evolution Blaire underwent as she got pieces of the truth until she decided to take ownership of her own life as opposed to being an asset or tool for Maksim. With that said, I wasn’t intrigued enough about her to continue the series. [image]...more

I love it when broody alpha males meet women who won't take their crap. Clementine Dove and Rex Yune took us on quite a ride as the narrators and their voices complemented each other. I haven't read any of the prior books in the series and it was clear that this book was part of a Triad universe but I never felt like I was lost during this couple's journey together. The author did an awesome job building each character so that their evolution was something to really enjoy.
The story starts with Jasmine "Jazz" showing up to a K Diamond's strip club to pay off her father's gambling debt. Her lack of guile as well as her natural looks caught Triad boss Han's eye. Han pays K Diamond the debt that Jazz's father owed but now Jazz owed him. That is how their interaction began.
Han and Jazz had immediate chemistry and it permeated the entire story. I loved how Jazz was authentic. She loved surfing and she loved her family. I feel like Han's attraction to Jazz was because she didn't care about frivolous things and wasn't impressed with his status. Jazz was a strong heroine and I admired the way she stood up for herself. I also liked that Han tried to avoid squashing Jazz's spirit even though he could have. It was a nice push and pull but when they gave into their passion, Han and Jazz burned hot! The attraction, sex and love felt organic and certainly sizzled. This was a well written story.
I thought the narrators did a good job capturing the nuances of the emotional issues Han and Jazz felt. It was a smooth audio and I can't wait to listen to the other stories. I do want to go back and start with audiobook 1.

Riley was another fun and intelligent heroine. I think that this author has found the magic formula with m4.5 Stars for Sassy lil Sister and the Ghost
Riley was another fun and intelligent heroine. I think that this author has found the magic formula with mob bosses who aren’t complete sociopaths and heroines who can hold their own with intelligence and humor.
This is the 2nd kidnapping story but it wasn’t like the prior book. Malek aka the ghost aka the hangman was certainly scary but Riley didn’t fear him just like her big sister Sloan didn’t fear Declan.
I enjoyed the plot and how author connected all 3 mob leaders, Kazimir, Declan and Malek. I also love the friendship/sisterhood between Natalie, Sloane and Riley.
My favorite scenes were when Mal patiently cared for Riley. That gave them a sweet foundation and showed he was capable of patience and sacrifice for Riley.
I chuckled a lot in this book and I also enjoyed the sex scenes immensely. This is the best series I’ve read this year and I cannot wait for Spider to get his story.

This story featured Eden, a violinist who lost her job because the symphony house closed. To pay for her instrument and rent, her aunt invites her to play the violin at her brothel (yes, aunt Celina runs a whorehouse). At the brother, a wealthy mafioso named Jean Pierre takes notice of Eden and asks for private musical numbers.
What began as a business arrangement turned into a personal (sexual) arrangement. This is where the story got twisty. I won’t spoil it but Jean Pierre wasn’t whom he appeared to be and we learned why he was called Le Butchere “The Butcher”. Yikes!!!
Eden definitely jumped into a pool with sharks and didn’t know it. I thought she let money and cooch lead her down a dangerous path. She clearly wasn’t ready nor even savvy enough to deal with mafioso. I didn’t like how this story resolved even though it didn’t quite end. ...more

I think Sloane is just one of my favorite female characters of all times. She’s smart, witty, fun, adventurous and loyal! I liked her in book 1 but loved her in her own book. I knew when Declan kidnapped her at the end of book 1 that they would end together. But at times I was unsure if Declan would shoot her for just being sassy and exasperating. I found that part of their banter HILARIOUS.
She is one person that kidnappers would return for free because she just had a knack for driving people up the wall. Declan definitely met his match and I loved it. Honestly, the sex scenes didn’t drive this book as I was expecting. It was Sloane’s mind and mouth that made this book a winner!

Wow. What a ride! I was completely unprepared for how much I would enjoy these characters. I loved Natalie because she was like a fresh canvas. She wasn’t stupid but she was naive, unjaded and looking for answers but she found Cage. This book had a lot of things I love, sexy chemistry, mafia men, a sassy best friend, a woman coming into her own but with a powerful man who gives her confidence to grow and an intriguing plot. Cage wasn’t a good man but he was a good man to her. The vulnerability and their banter was the best part of their relationship. They were just fun and captivating together. I really loved this one!
The wiring was really good. The power dynamic was fun. I can’t wait to get book 2...more
