I enjoyed this one. I generally like books dealing with people who are healing from trauma as it’s often angsty. These who individuals were struggling to find themselves after the ones who were supposed to love them weren’t available to do so. They were good for each other and I enjoyed how Cyrus pulled words out of Crow (and it was work) but he saw beyond what others were settling for. The epilogue was a good addition ...more

I tried. I really have tried to give this author a chance because she is so popular and my bookclub LOVES her work. But her storytelling doesn’t pique my interest and I am never able to connect with her stories. I just find a lot of sex and little plot. I did finish it so I can be able to discuss at next months bookclub but I’m confident that Sierra Simone isn’t my cup of tea....more

Abby Jimenez will always give you a sweet and sad together. Holly was built different because there is no way I could do her job. She did it with grace and empathy so I too my hat to her. John was such a sweet guy, I love how he tried to correct his mistake on the car. Without giving away anything, my favorite things were 1) Grandma’s dying confession/wish. She’s literally the 3rd old lady whom I have heard wished this do-over in their life. 2) I learned 3 phrases that I say all the time but did t know this origin. 1) Hard as Hell/Hail 2) Break a leg 3) Pilot (a show’s first episode) This book hit! I really enjoyed it. Great job Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber. ...more

This is how you do a short story. The set up was just right, the pacing was perfect and the dialogue gave enough for us to grow with C and T over the years. Epistolary romances are I can’t believe this was only 100 pages because it told a lot of story in this novella. I loved both Characters, I loved the banter and I loved how the reveal happened. That was funny. If you like light hearted romances with growth, this one is for you!...more
Boy. This story was a call to “boss up”. We have long suspected that Soledad’s husband Edward was garbage but thisa journey to learn to save yourself
Boy. This story was a call to “boss up”. We have long suspected that Soledad’s husband Edward was garbage but this book laid all his sins bare. We got an inside look at just how low down and dirty Edward was as a mate. But this book was how Soledad worked hard to heal mentally, emotionally, financially and eventually sexually. How she learned that she had to be whole on her own and could take care of her three daughters with a lot of hardwork. At times I felt bad for her, I pitied her, I cheered for her and at the end, I was happy for her.
I also really admired Judah Cross for giving Sol the room to do her own thing and let her come to him when she was ready. He didn’t try to go save her, insert himself in her journey but patiently from the sidelines supported her. I also love men who care for their kids and he was a present father to his sons. Thank you to the author for using this vehicle to teach us things about autism. It made the family situation of Judah and his ex (partnership) more relatable.
I appreciate every book that Kennedy Ryan writes because she gives a thoughtful narrative. It didn’t feel like a romance more like a women’s fiction where romance was a side dish to the main story. A well written and very engrossing book....more
I really enjoyed everything about this story. It showed how to do reality tv match ups but the behind the scenes meant treality tv romance done right.
I really enjoyed everything about this story. It showed how to do reality tv match ups but the behind the scenes meant to build the couple not make ratings.
Mariah and Zion were great characters. I was rooting for them and cheering for the experiment to work. I loved how authentic they felt. How committed to the process they were and how sexy they ended up being.
This author really took us on an adventure with Zion and Mariah. The way this story was written was really relatable and at the same time hopeful for all those searching. What a beautiful love story.
I need to know about the other couples though ...more

Yes. This story was everything I hoped it would be. It started off where book 1 ended with my understanding of Hadley and Willow shattered. No one does twists in romance like Aly Martinez.
This story was ripe with drama, love, anger and secrets. But in this second book, all the hidden things were revealed/exposed and Caven got to start truly dealing with his guilt.
Rosalee kept me chuckling because that mischievous kid was funny. Willow was given a chance to live and love outside Harley’s shadow and that was the best part of it all.
Really really riveting storytelling and what an emotional ride. I loved this duet and the narration was spot on....more
