This book was different from all the other paranormal books I’ve read. I enjoyed it but I did get confused at times. I applaud the author for taking a risk and doing something new. Satyr Chimera isn’t the usual “monster” so i was willing to go with it. Something about this plot made me feel like I did when I watched the movie Shrek.
I think i will try book 2 to get a conclusion about Pie’s debt...more

Without spoiling this story, I loved just about all the characters in this story. It's hard to discuss the plot without revealing things so I will stick to the characters.
I love Lily and her mom, Atlas Corrigan, Ryle Kincaid, his sister Alyssa & her husband Marshall, even Atlas' three friends because these characters were humanized despite their flaws. This story was full of angst and emotion. I truly felt for all. I know I am in the minority, but I would have loved Lily to have professional counseling as it may have been beneficial for all involved.
Colleen Hoover is an expert at delivering touching, heart-rending and at the same time inspiring characters who just rise above tragic circumstances to bask in the light at the end of the tunnel. I always feel joy and happiness at the end of a Colleen Hoover book and this one was no exception.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind if the author wrote a book on Atlas and/or Ryle's upbringing. There was a lot of story left there and it has been on my mind since I read the book. This book was a masterpiece.
