One drunken night led them to cross some lines and end up in bed together and conceived their daughter, Adley. Their close friendship has helped facilitate their unconventional relationship. They live next door to each other and are almost always together. I loved seeing their chemistry before even getting together. They worked together so well. Both Palmer and Hudson have not really been in any serious relationship but lately Hudson has been getting closer with his girlfriend. This forces Palmer & Hudson to admit the way they really feel about each other. I was really captivated by their story and the way they parented their daughter Adley. When Palmer and Hudson start up a relationship the love and chemistry come easy but the logistics are a bit more challenging. Palmer was afraid of telling Adley in case things didn’t work out.
One of my favorite things about this book is how Palmer’s hearing loss was handled. There were small things that Hudson would do that just melted my heart. They couldn’t be more perfect for each other. It was a slow journey for them to get together, but once it happened it was so sweet. There are still bumps in the road for Palmer & Hudson but together they can make it through. Palmer wasn’t always the easiest character to like but it just made her more raw. Hudson may have said he wasn’t meant for relationships, but wow did that man have it wrong because he was the swooniest boyfriend when he was in the right relationship!...more

This series just keeps getting more and more exciting! But boy would I not want to live in Cedar Ridge, there is always something going on! Caden is GThis series just keeps getting more and more exciting! But boy would I not want to live in Cedar Ridge, there is always something going on! Caden is Grae's brother's best friend and even though they once had a very close relationship, he got scared and pulled away.
Caden is back in town and Grae is struggling with a guy she dated who just can't take a hint. They pretend to date to keep the ex away. But fake feelings are not involved which always makes things a little complicated. Grae was such a likeable character. I love that she was given type 1 diabetes and the way it played into the story. Caden had his pain and it made him a bit more reluctant. He still felt very protective over Grae and eventually just couldn't resist. And once he was in, he was all in! I love the way he was with her brothers. And the suspense was definitely thrilling! I did not see that all coming!
I don't even need to say anything about the narration. The performance by Joe Arden and Erin Mallon was perfect like always!...more

We had seen parts of Hawk’s story from the Calloway Brothers series. Hawk learns that he is a father to a child whose mother has died. While Hawk wants nothing to do with the child, his grandfather has a different plan. They make a bet involving the child and Hawk soon finds himself hiring Addison as a nanny. Hawk wanted nothing to do with raising the child, including giving her a name. At times, it was hard to like Hawk. He was the ultimate grump and he didn’t show much of his caring side. His character development was a little but abrupt and I would have liked to see Hawk warming up to his daughter before the very end. Hawk was a different man by the end and he was determined to prove himself worthy of Addison. I loved seeing Hawk and Addison and Rivi interact. They were often hilarious.
Addy’s story was special on its own. The death of her brother caused her to spiral and ended up in a car accident that caused her to lose part of her leg. In order to deal with it, she used humor and jokes every time someone made a comment about her leg. I love how she was portrayed to be so strong. She took this huge tragedy and didn’t let it stop her from succeeding. And then Hawk enters and tries to make it even better for her. *swoon* Addy was the perfect match for Hawk and the one to soften him. ...more

Violet is a jockey and has a real love and compassion for horses. Cole on the other hand has a past trauma that makes him afraid of riding horses.
I enjoyed the writing and how we alternate between the past and the present. Because years ago, Violet and Cole were online friends. Cole is such a damaged hero but his heart is still so big in the way that he cares for certain people. Violet brought a spark back into Cole. I think their relationship also felt equally balanced.
The audiobook was such a great listen, I had previously read the book, but this audio really brought the story to life. Connor Crais as our damaged Vet and Vanessa Edwin as the sweet Violet was a perfect casting! ...more

This Westfall series certainly needs a chart to show who is related/friends with who. Cait is Wolfe’s sister and she has been crushing on Evan. To her surprise, she is asked to help tutor Evan. When Evan’s teammate Noah mentions he needs a tutor, he recommends Cait. Cait and Noah eventually make a deal involving tutoring and fake dating to make Evan jealous.
Cait and Noah develop the most sincere friendship. They have family problems they bond over and they help each other deal with them. Everything about their friendship is sweet and special. When making Evan jealous turns into sex lessons for Cait, we get to see the passion and chemistry between them. Cait’s confidence grows vastly thanks to Noah. Noah is the absolute sweetest. The way he cares for Cait and takes care of her made me fall for him hard. Top book boyfriend material! I found myself wanting to frequently yell at Cait and tell her to just open up to Noah and tell him how she feels. But I guess that would have eliminated too much angst that I enjoyed so much. My heart would hurt for Noah every time he mentioned that she was just gonna go back to Evan. I enjoyed that this had some love triangle vibes without any cheating or anything. It was interesting reading it out of order but interesting that I went from Rebel's sister story in Book 5 to going backward and reading Rebel's story in book 1.
Wolfe and Rebel couldn't be more opposite. Wolfe is captain of the hockey team, cocky, all about having a good team, and sleeping with all the girls. He is the heartless player. Rebel was in a terrible accident that left her with a prosthetic leg. This has left her with little self confidence, and she prefers not to be seen and she doesn't put herself out there. But somehow together they worked. They both have painful stories and families to deal with and that actually helped them bond. I also love a story where the hero falls first and is eagerly pursuing the heroine....more

We have Cooper who has had a tough life due to her family. She hasn't been out of her small town and does not have many people in her life. She has gone through some tragic experiences that no one else ever should. Emery was quiet and depressed. He has a rough mental health history. Together they are magic though. I love the way they supported each other. The ending was stressful but everything that I could have wanted. Trust me you want to read this book!...more

This book was packed with every emotion and had such a unique story with a character with a very rarely talked about disorder, symbrachydactyly. Harley was a strong character not just because she was strong, but because she acknowledged her weaknesses and tried to change. Kandi really makes you feel Harley’s pain and experience her journey. Harley was on a mission to become a perfect artist because in her eyes it's the only thing she could be perfect at.

Liam has been through more grief and loss than any person should have to experience. This leaves him feeling lost and carefree. Liam walked away from his tragic past and never dealt with it so he is still damaged which makes him think he could never love someone like Harley.
Harley started off one night set to say yes to everything that came her way. That night she ran into Liam and from then on they were inseparable. Liam and Harley had such a sweet relationship. They had fun together and they cared about each other but they also pushed each other to be better. I think the only criticism I have about the book is that I felt it abruptly ended. I really loved this book!
I loved this narration. Kandi does a great job at finding these hidden gems of narrators that I haven’t heard of before. Hannah did an amazing job carrying the story herself. She really brought us back to the 1990s!...more
