I enjoyed all of her Colorado Mountain series. Books about crushes or loving from afar are a favorite of mine. Especially in this case where the shy librarian doesn't realize she's desirable. Plus, the man she loves from afar is the town sheriff who has a tragic past. It all adds up to a seriously good read....more

Personally, I got Jesse's immaturity and arrogance. It's adoration at first sight--their chemistry off the charts. This man lays eyes on Ava and he has to have her. Gosh, it sounds stalkerish, but somehow in this instance his caveman tendencies work. Truly, if Ava didn't want him back none of his brute atttack-tics would work and Jesse having found his "ever after" would recover sadly "never after". Thank goodness there's a next book!...more

You know, there has to be something said for reading the "classics" over again once in a while. There are so many "meh" books out there and just cracking the spine of BTM again after many so months felt good and so very familiar. Jesse is definitely f*cked up, but he's all ours to love....more

I suppoI was reminded of this because a new book in the series was released for Spring. I never reviewed this and I'm bummed because it deserves one. I suppose I just might have to reread it, which would not be an imposition. It was pretty unforgettable, two strong MCs, a plane crash, she "misbehaves" and gets a spanking and is shocked and outraged, but, of course, she's turned on. Upon being rescued the MCs go back to their lives, but fate has other plans for them and they get their HEA. I wonder why I gave it 4 and not 5 stars. Oh, and there's a short but sweet after story, too.
Anyway, this is a roundabout review, but I highly recommend it....more
