I was definitely a little worried about it after meeting the characters in the other stories though just not sure how Stephanie was going to make it work, but she pulled it off so well and I should have known better than to doubt her!!!
I was laughing at Hayden and Darcy’s friend antics from the beginning, wanting to be Darcy’s friend to help build her up like she deserved, and jealous of the care and attention Hayden gives not only to Darcy but everyone in his life!
Also plus of seeing Rory Miller again (The Fake Out is still my fav of this series)
Hayden and Darcy are so much more than meet the eye and just such real characters, this is another great one by Stephanie! Definitely recommend it.
And the crumbs for book four?!?!?!?!? I’m already dying for it....more

It’s not a big focus but it’s there and I knew it and thought it wouldn’t take quite so long for it to be fully dealt with. I’m still giving this 3 stars because despite not being happy with the two main characters for most of the book, they felt real and I wanted to know what happens in the end but it was not quite for me. It’s one thing to be aware of what you’re doing or at least come to realize it but another to keep doing it.
I really liked the writing style so I probably will try the author’s other books and she did keep me reading but this story wasn’t for me. ...more

She just writes adult characters living in the real world that feel like I could enjoy spending time with and like they are real people. Not professional athletes or billionaires but real people with real problems living their everyday lives and falling in love in the process.
I was hoping we’d see Jeremy get his happy ever after, after he watched all his friends get theirs and Davis was worth the wait! I’m also an outdoorsy person from close to where Davis is from so he is going to be a soft spot for me forever.
Did I mention there is a dog?

I didn’t think other characters were gonna top Lily & Nico from this series for me, but Ollie is really giving them a run for their money.
I love Meadow and I want to be her friend so bad.
Ollie and Meadow are each other’s first love from when they were young, and haven’t seen each other in years. In those years they have a lot of perceptions that aren’t necessarily based on fact. We all have that stuff we haven’t let go of from when we were younger, especially if it has to do with family right? It’s so real and it’s beautiful to watch them start to resolve it (even though they’re scared) and help each other with it as well.
I don’t always like second chance and I loved every second of this one, it was well done and made a lot of sense for the characters.
There are one or two things I would probably change about this or wish maybe happened slightly differently, but overall 98% of this book I was emotional mess and eating it ALL up.
While I’m sure you could enjoy this book as a standalone, I would highly suggest reading the others in this series first. I felt like since I knew Ollie from the other books I could jump in with both feet, and I think it really helped me enjoy and like it as much as I did. I don’t think I would have enjoyed it as much without knowing him a bit already.
It was a beautiful end to this series, though I’d love to see a couple of the other characters get their happy endings too! Maybe in other series? We’ll see :)

Gid and Ari travel to Ireland together as friends for her brother’s wedding and then spend Christmas together there. It’s magical and feels like a warm hug while they’re hiding out a bit from the real world and life.

Best friends to lovers, healing from past trauma and from current problems together, a camper van, a painting scene, animals?!?! Oh yeah, Jacob’s a vet in case you weren’t already sold.
Kelsey’s books should be in front of more people’s eyes for sure. Read the first in this series. Read this book. I think they are more true stand-alones than sometimes happens, though the first gives you a great intro to everyone and the town - you could definitely read this as a standalone (but seriously, read the first book too anyways).
I received an ARC. I was waiting for this one. And it did not disappoint me at all even though I had a big build up of it in my head. I highly recommend. Grace is such a sweet character, definitely coming into herself as she finishes college and her friendship with Cal is a way for her to grow. It obviously becomes so much more than that and I really love their relationship and all the little details you see while watching them grow closer. The conflicts at the end are the same things over again so it’s a bit frustrating but it’s also realistic because of that? That’s why it’s not a 5 star from me it hangs over some of it a bit annoyingly. I do love this book though and I’m looking forward to Maddie’s book soon! ...more

It is a SLOW burn friends to lovers romance, but as someone who doesn’t always love slow burns - this book has so much interaction between the characters and fun that you don’t hate the slow burn. Yes, you want them to open their eyes but it’s an enjoyable time. Since Nate and Mia were introduced in the first book I’ve wanted their story, and it was so so so enjoyable. It dealt with hard things but both Nate and Mia are such amazing characters that it just felt good the whole time you read it. I can’t wait to see where this series and author go from here! ...more

It dealt with a lot of very serious things (grief and more) but managed to still be an incredibly moving love story of two people who didn’t know they needed each other, but balanced each other out so well.
