This movie changed my life, it teaches me the beauty of happiness,love,trust,and etc. It's one of the best movies, I had seen this year. It's animation, storyline, character everything was absolute masterpiece. Thanks Mikoto Shinkai sir for making this absolute phenomenal movie.

Os vários significados de Suzume, uma viagem por todo Japão, para despedir de lugares abandonados, já que existe uma tradição por lá o jichin-sai ou cerimônia de inauguração antes do início da construção, mas não para encerramento, conjuntamente da metáfora dos terremotos, o teletransporte me lembrou do maravilhoso Your Name, eu esperava um drama maior nesse, mas ficou fofinho e recheado de ação… Muito bonitinho, recheado de lirismo como toda produção Ghibli... Lindinho, excelente desfecho...

The animation was good but the resolution of the story was no good at all.

This is the kind of anime that appeals to me, mixing human emotions in the real world with a magical element, no robots needed.

Difficult to write something coherent as I've just finished watching it but it is a truly wonderful film and likely to provoke a LOT of tears. Please watch it for me.

Very much in the same style of his previous films; same kind of stories, the signature of Shinkai all over the place

Loss and love are the twin pillars that make up life. A series of doors that must either be closed or opened bringing healing from past wounds or having the courage to step through and embrace new unimagined possibilities. That is the message of this movie, told expertly through the eyes of a young girl named Suzume. We witness her confronting her destiny written in the very stars. I LOVED every moment of this Masterpiece of a film and I will definitely be proud to own this gem of a movie on Blu Ray.

Beautiful animation, nice music and an interesting story. A tale about finding oneself and learning about others lives. Sadly this movie didn't click for me and many moments seemed convenient or brushed over. I also was rather creeped out by the romance between the two main protagonists.

Similar feel to Your Name, it's just a joy from start to end. One of the prettiest movies I've seen.

Like Your Name, and Weathering With You, Suzume doesn't fail to bring the magic, adventure and heartwarming emotions to life. Just as beautifully animated as the first two movies with vibrant characters, fantastic storytelling and amazing animation. A must watch for anyone who is a fan of Your Name.

A wonderfully imaginative telling of a tale of loss, complemented by brilliant visuals in a poignant underlying fable about grieving and growing forward.

SPOILERS: This movie happens so quickly and freely. A girl sees a guy pass by and she immediately falls in love? Everyone they meet is completely oblivious NPCs who accept them into their home. Suzume's cardio is also insane, she had to have run at least 50km in this movie in dress shoes and a skirt. The animation wasn't all that either. It felt like a low-budget TV show, the CGI wasn't really that amazing because it was so different from the drawn stuff. When I think of good hand-drawn animation I'm looking at the explosion from Your Name., something of the like. This also continues this weird fantasizing of underage (or at least extremely young) girls who are completely oblivious and clueless good girls going 100% out of their way to do something they aren't equipped for. Isn't it a bit overdone? I feel this trope is so obnoxious and perverted. Souta becoming a chair and then requiring Suzume's is completely defeated by the fact he's still basically able to do everything a human can do, but not kiss Suzume. The action was also really repetitive, 1. New gate opens up. 2. They run to the gate. 3. Cat is there doing whatever the f the cat does. 4. Chair chases cat. 5. Suzume must close gate. 6. Chair comes back and says those cringe lines to close it. 7. Repeat 1-6 at new abandoned location.

What a great experience!

Bully daijin, meaningless love storyline

Between the incredible art, creative storytelling and heart wrenching storyline this movie made me laugh, sob, and reminisce about a younger self. I am writing this review minutes after watching it for the 2nd time in one day still sobbing. It's an exciting and beautiful story about love, loss and adventure and one of the best anime movies I have ever seen. I will watch this again and again.

A quirky and heartfelt adventure full of fantastic animation and dramatic music. From the beautiful idyllic rural scenery to the hauntingly eerie ruins, the urban metropolis and cosmic landscapes, every scene is a visual treat. The story covers numerous themes such as modern fears, young love and moving on all with a strong human moral element, but is a bit scattershot in what it wants to say. The setting is quite formulaic for Japanese anime with a big-eyed orphan girl with a tragic past, a mysterious handsome stranger and a metaphorical threat of epic proportions, but also has its weird comical moments thanks to the non-human companion (or 2) and well-rounded supporting cast. Thoroughly enjoyable and relatively moving.

This is the best film I've ever seen in my entire life, besides being a photographic masterpiece it also has great character development. Very good
