This is an excellent compilation of scores. I love the opening number with all of its pomp. Even playing the CD on my computer, I could hear the thundering entrance of T. Rex! (Do be careful if you regularly crank your volume up high.) The music from Beetlejuice is as distinctive as the movie. And who could resist the sweetness of the music from The Princess Bride? If you like Russian music, you'll like The Hymn to Red October. And Jurassic Lunch made me laugh.

Highly recommended for fans of film music.… (more)

I liked the arrangements on this CD. I enjoy the musicals that are represented on the CD, particularly Miss Saigon (one of the longer suites on the CD), The Secret Garden, Into the Woods, Les Miserables (another long suite), and Jekyll and Hyde. The music is rich; the songs chosen are suitably dramatic. This is a solid four-star CD.

If you enjoy "pops" style classical music or musicals, I think you would enjoy the CD.
