4.5 stars rounded up!!!

4.5 cus I wrote this book in a 24-day-delerium and there are still moments in these pages that I, the author, distrust! A healthy skepticism, you might say!! The idea for this book has been hiding somewhere in my head for year

.........babes what is going on?????

Listen I am not a Shakespeare girly. Just now, typing that out? Spelled the man's name wrong. I attribute my aversion to being in a LOT of renaissance choirs growing up. Like a LOT. Is that even the write era? I do

“If you look at most female archetypes—the mother, the virgin, the whore—their power comes from their relation to men. But not the Witch. The Witch derives her power from nature. She calls forth her dreams with spells and incantations. With poetry. And I think that’s why we are frightened of them. What’s scarier to the world of men than a woman limited only by her imagination?”
Ryan La Sala, Reverie

“Dreams can be parasites we sacrifice ourselves to. Dreams can be monstrous, beautiful things incubated in misery and hatched by spite. Or dreams can be the artifacts we excavate to discover who we really are.”
Ryan La Sala, Reverie

“It is up to you to demand people see you as you, or they will almost always decide you are someone else.”
Ryan La Sala, The Honeys

Onyx You mentioned in your review that you're fed up with sub-par queer fiction, as was I before the Captive Prince... but rest assured there's plenty of great authors and books out there, in every genre from contemporary fairy tales to dystopian mindfucks.

So, what kind of books do you like to read? Maybe I can recommend something! :)
