it was amazing

.........babes what is going on?????

Listen I am not a Shakespeare girly. Just now, typing that out? Spelled the man's name wrong. I attribute my aversion to being in a LOT of renaissance choirs growing up. Like a LOT. Is that even the write era? I don't know. But see?? That's how little I engage with modern Shakespearean stuff!!! (I spelled Shakespearean wrong, too).

AND YET!!!

Within pages, this book had me enthralled. Caleb Roehrig's TEACH THE TORCHES TO BURN is a masterclass in outwitting a reader's preconceived notions, expectations, and quixotic demands. I thought I knew what I would get from this; I was wrong. It contained such a brilliantly rendered love--we know that had to be central to the story--but the writing was gorgeous, the plot had me twisting out of my chair, and...Juliet. LOVE her.

I hardly ever leave reviews on goodreads but I'm just excited for readers to have this remix, and for me to finally have a rainbow window into the most popular love story of all time.
