Thirty Day Boyfriend is classic Whitney G. She can spin a story that’s equal parts funny, sexy, and sweet.

Her knack for creating appealing alphaholes is on full display here. I fell a little bit in love with Nicholas Wolf (aka The Wolf) from the beginning, even with his controlling, selfish, and egotistical behavior. What a charismatic douche.

The lovely Emily, Nicholas’s personal assistant, is his perfect sparring partner. She’s not some meek little sheep. Oh no. She’s wicked smart, fluent in sarcasm, and doesn’t take his crap. I was crazy about the push and pull between them.

This novella avoids two major pitfalls associated with romantic short stories: the dreaded insta-love and an abrupt ending. I’m a greedy reader, so I wouldn’t have minded more time spent with Emily and Nicolas because I really enjoyed them as a couple. This is one entertaining quickie.

Recommended for fans of:
Office romance
Lovable douchey heroes
Snarky heroines
Coffee
