I should've never agreed to this arrangement...

Thirty days ago, my boss—Mr. Wolf of Wall Street, came to me with an offer I couldn’t refuse: Sign my name on the dotted line and pretend to be his fiancée for one month. If I agreed, he would let me out of my employment contract with a “very generous” severance package.

The rules were pretty simple: No intimate kissing, no actual sex. Just pretend to love each other for the press, even though I’ve secretly wanted to knock that sexy smirk off his face since the first day we met.

I definitely didn’t need to think twice about this. I signed my name and started counting down the seconds to when I would never have to deal with his special brand of ass-holery again.

I only made it to one minute...

We argued the entire four-hour flight to his hometown, failed to make a convincing impression with the welcoming press, and right when I was about to knock that arrogant look off his face in real life? He purposely dropped his bath towel in front of me, distracting me with his nine-inch cock to "show me who the bigger person was" in our relationship. Then he gave me his trademark smirk once again and asked if I wanted to consummate our marriage.

Tragically, this is only day one.
We still have 29 more days to go...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2! Thirty Day Boyfriend (stand-alone). Emily sees her annoying boss Mr. Wolf in a new light after spotting his 9-inch cock!

“The rest of my sentence stalled on my tongue as he dropped his towel to the floor, as I caught sight of his massive cock for the first time.”

Thirty Day Boyfriend (stand-alone) opens up to the frustrating existence of executive assistant Emily Johnson. Though she excels being the right-hand person of the Wolf of Wall Street she wants out.

If only she hadn’t signed an iron-clad employment contract…

Venture capitalist Nicholas A. Wolf might have lusted after his assistant a time or two, but right now he needs a fiancé to close a deal. He makes Emily an offer she cannot refuse: Pose as his girlfriend for thirty-days and he will let her out of the contract.

Seems like the perfect deal until Emily catches sight of Nicholas 9-inch cock…

Everything pretty much goes down-hill from there. Blood supply to the nether region that is. Told from dual POVs, the story follows them during the deal; Razor-sharp bantering, sex with a 9-inch cock, spiteful and petty behavior, and one hilarious situation after another.

Contemptuous sex! Effortless story-telling! Entertaining plot! The perfect in-between!

Despite the fact that something felt missing and that the story felt a bit choppy in places (which is definitely NOT how I usually feel when reading a Whitney G. book), I still really enjoyed this story.

It was a light, cute, and fun read, complete with Whitney G.'s trademark asshole hero and push/pull hate-to-love-and-love-to-hate you relationship.

Turbulence is still my favorite of what I consider her "asshole boss/coworker" releases, but I really enjoyed this one as well.

A great way to pass the night when you are in the mood for a quick and dirty - and yet intelligently written - read.

Fabulous, fun, and sexy are the words that perfectly sum up Whitney G’s latest book! Out of all of her stories she’s written in 2017, this is going down as my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. I was in love with it from the moment I read the prologue and by the time I got to the very end I had the biggest smile on my face and my heart was fluttering with happiness! THIRTY DAY BOYFRIEND is an office romance between an overbearing, control freak boss and his beautiful & feisty, but seriously overqualified executive assistant. Get ready for some major sparks to fly within the pages of this ”enemies to lovers” themed story.

Emily Johnson has been the right-hand woman to New York City’s most powerful and influential businessman Nicholas A. Wolfe, aka ”The Wolf of Wall Street” for the past two years. For a year and a half, she’s been desperate to get out of her employment contract because she despises her boss, or so she would like everyone to believe. Deep down she only admits to herself that the man gets her all kinds of hot and bothered. Emily has been going out on secret job interviews but she’ll soon find out that Nicholas’ influence reaches far and wide and no one is willing to cross him by hiring her. Emily is beyond irritated and never hesitates to unleash her snarky and sarcastic attitude on her boss to make him fully aware of just how much she loathes working for him.

Nicholas is a brilliant business tycoon, who started from the bottom and worked his way up to becoming the most respected and successful CEOs in all of New York City. He’s the city’s most eligible bachelor and is a “Page Six” favorite. His employees consider him to be a bit of a douche, and he’s fully aware of his reputation, but he also doesn’t care in the slightest. There is only one employee that he values above all and he’ll put up with her obvious animosity because there isn’t anyone who could fill her overqualified but sexy as hell shoes.

An opportunity presents itself to Emily which would free her from her job with the Wolf if she agrees to become his fake fiancée for a month so that he can sign a multi-billion dollar deal which hinges entirely on Nicholas proving that he is a devoted “family man”. Nicholas makes the proposal entirely too enticing for Emily to pass up.

While under the guise of being a happily engaged couple, Emily and Nicholas will no longer be able to fight their long-hidden desires for each other. Now the question is, what happens when their thirty-day contract expires? Will they each go their separate ways or is there a chance that they may have something that’s meant to last a lifetime?

Here are my overall ratings on the book:

Heroes: 5
Heroine: 5
Plot: 5
Angst: 3
Steam: 5
Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 5

THIRTY DAY BOYFRIEND is currently available. I promise you, this is a super sexy and entertaining read! I even swooned quite a bit over it! Don’t miss out on this one! One-click!

➦This book reminded me a bit of that Naughty Boss novella by Whitney G! It didn't have the same enemies to lovers relationship between the main characters and it wasn't on the same level of over the top hilariousness. BUT! It has fake fiance trope and we all know that I eat those for breakfast.

➦It's also an office romance between a boss and his assistant who, apparently, knows everything there is to know about him. With all the sexual tension between these two they might not even have to work too hard to appear "in love"...

➦Hi might even take her home to meet his parents. Iunno. So the question is... will he persuade her to come into his dog house...

➦Recommended for lovers or fake relationship tropes, office romances, short, sexy and fun reads.

Another awesome book by Whitney G!

Emily does not want to work for Mr Wolf anymore, but he does not want to let her go. So he proposes a deal. She will pretend to be his fiancée for a month and after that she is allowed to quit and she will also gain 5 million dollars for her service. Emily agrees and then she discovers that Mr Wolf, Nicholas, is not the man that she thought he is.

Every time I open a book written by Whitney I know that I will have a special treat. Each of her books will definetely include:
-A delicious cocky, sex god bastard who is probably misunderstood
-a feisty girl who is never a victim
-A good laugh

This book was not an exemption. It is a perfect break during a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Too short, but funny.

Surprisingly decent heroine - I liked the one from previous book On a Tuesday and Emily was also a pretty good one too!
Except her shock and blushing when she saw his 9 inch c*ck...
And?! I suppose a woman at 28 saw at least one, so why to blush? 🤔

He was ok. I didn't dislike him, even in his boss's mood. He was definitely smitten with her.

His letters were sweet.

I wished for an actual epilogue!

Safety:

I start to really like this author!

Most of us have read these types of books (fake relationship), so going into this, I knew what I was getting. And knowing this author, I knew I’d like it. So I’ll say this first, I want more. I want more of Nicholas and Emily. God dang it, I need more.

In the beginning of this, the development of the boss and employee relationship is played out. And my lord

The arrogant and high and mighty billionaire Nicholas was a bit too much for me. But the sass that Emily threw back at him, the way she totally handed him his ass at every turn, fricken made this book. She didn’t take anything sitting down, oh heck no she didn’t.

Emily entered a negotiation with Nicholas knowing that everything was about to change. She knew this would be the end of their professional partnership. What she didn’t know, although had hoped and longed for, was she was about to get so much more.

This story was full of spunk, it was full as asshole-ism, it was full of lust that was dripping from the pages. Once they caved, it was on.

Was there enough beyond the undeniable passion, the unending lust, and the endless want? What about at the end of the arrangement, would he still need her anymore?

This is a must read for those of you that love Whitney G, those who love fake arrangements, and office relationships.

I loved this book to bits, it was just plain amazing! Guaranteed to make you feel good. Fun, sweet, touching, hilariously cute! I did not want to stop reading.

Emily has been Nicholas’ 24/7 personal assistant for two years. She is beautiful and smart, her sharp tongue makes her somehow more maddening, and she’s never let him get away with a single thing.

Nicholas is a determined man. He's smart, successful and charming; everything you'd expect the billionaire businessman to be. Soon he finds himself ready to do anything to see Emily smile, see her happy. This couple is amazing. Hot together and the banter is entertaining!

The book just flowed effortlessly. I adore the author’s clever humor, worthwhile and intelligent characters and witty dialogues. She has never failed to entertain or provide a satisfying HEA. There is so much to like here and I hope readers give it a chance, because when I closed the book I had a big grin on my face.

In short:

STORY OVERVIEW AND REVIEW

Thirty Day Boyfriend was a cute, entertaining, and sexy read that made me laugh and feel giddy. The story had great banter, well-written sex scenes, and two lovable characters wrapped up in one of my favorite tropes.

Emily Johnson has been the right-hand woman of Nicholas A. Wolf, the actual Wolf of Wolf Street, for two years, and she wants out. With an iron-clad four-year contract, she can't exactly leave, but that hasn't stopped her from trying. Unfortunately for her, Nicholas is always a step ahead, thwarting all of her attempts of leaving. Out of nowhere, her boss offers to set her free, but on a condition she's not sure she's willing to take.

Nicholas needs to deal to push through, but it looks like the only way it can happen is if he changes his image. He needs to be a committed family man, and this is where Emily comes in. If she can play his fiancée for thirty days and he gets the deal, they can part ways satisfied that they got what they want. It should be fine, right?

The chemistry and sexual tension are palpable from start to finish, but what I love the most about Thirty Day Boyfriend is that it was shown not just through lust, but through their fantastic banter and basically all interactions. I’m 100% convinced they’re perfect for each other, and everything they did made me giggle and swoon.

As I've said in my book review, the book would have been perfect if it were longer. I fell completely in love with Nicholas and Emily, their banter and relationship.

WHAT DID YOU LIKE ABOUT THE AUDIOBOOK?

This is the shortest audiobook I've listened to, so I got to listen to it in one sitting. Zachary Webber and Erin Mallon were fantastic in narrating Nicholas' and Emily's perspectives, Mr. Webber especially. Thanks to them, there wasn't a single second listening to this audiobook that I wasn't pleasantly diverted. Thirty Day Boyfriend is my favorite Whitney G. novella, so listening to it was just as enjoyable as reading it the first time.

WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THIS AUDIOBOOK TO A FRIEND? IF SO, WHY?

Anyone who enjoys the fake relationship trope mixed in with a hate-to-love element will love Thirty Day Boyfriend. Plus, if you're looking for a quick and fun dual narration audiobook listen, I highly recommend it. Mr. Webber and Ms. Mallon are both veritable romance narrators, so you're in good hands.

If you want to dip your toes in the audiobook world, this would be a great start since it's light and entertaining and shorter than other audiobooks.

Tropes: Fake Relationship, Boss-Employee, Hate to Love, Office Romance
POV: First Person, Dual POV
Narration: Dual Narration

Thirty Day Boyfriend was a cute, entertaining, and sexy read that made me laugh and feel giddy. While it is a novella, the book didn’t feel as fast-paced as I thought it would. The story had great banter, well-written sex scenes, and two lovable characters wrapped up in one of my favorite tropes.

Two years. Emily Johnson has been working as the executive assistant of the real “Wolf of Wall Street” Nicholas A. Wolf for two years, and she’s ready to go. As the right-hand woman of Mr. Wolf, she is contract-bound for two more years, so she’s trying to sneak around, find a way to leave, and finally work in a law firm like she’s always planned. But Nicholas is the best at his job for a reason. He’s always a few steps ahead, and so Emily is still stuck with him.

Nicholas A. Wolf has never had problems sealing deals, but he’s stuck in a rut when a company he wants to buy refuses to sell it to him. The current owner is apparently old-school and prefers to hand over his company who has the same values. A family man, he said. And so a reformed playboy, family man Nicholas shall be.

No one could play the role of his fiancée better than Emily, the one woman who knows him almost as much as he knows himself, so to convince her to agree on a thirty-day agreement, he offers her something she can’t refuse—freedom, and a very very generous severance pay.

I love both characters! Nicholas is the kind of hero I love. He’s powerful in his career, determined but not in a suffocating way, cocky but not insufferable, and secretly caring and sweet to the bones. Emily is just as lovable. She doesn’t cower to him, gives as much as Nicholas does, and is fiercely loyal to those she cares for.

I always cross my fingers whenever I read this author’s works since it’s been a hit-and-miss for me,
but Thirty Day Boyfriend was definitely a hit. I would have wanted to read more about their families, especially the subplot about Nicholas’ brother, since that part felt a bit rushed and lacked introduction and air time. But the ending more than made up for it, and I finished reading the story a happy and satisfied girl.

This is a novella about a very rich businessman and his EA. She is sick of working with him and wants to leave her job and he offers her a deal, in which she will pretend to be his fake-fiancé for a month for business-related reasons. (He needs to be seen not as a playboy but as a man of commitment to seal an important deal.)

Well, a cliché plot but it may be fun if written well, you know... So, I picked it up for a quick entertainment but what a waste of my time it was. Such a meaningless read for me. So ridiculous!

I thought I was reading a book with lots and lots of missing chapters!!!

I know this is a novella but their relationship shifted so quickly that it was far from being believable. It felt so rushed. I neither felt their chemistry nor their connection.

I have so many unanswered questions and the more I try to understand why, the more brain cells I seem to lose in the process so I just assume there are missing pages or chapters in this book.

Here are some of my questions about this novella...

1. Why did she hate her boss so much? He was a workaholic but not an as* to her. She was the most-highly paid EA in town with lots of privileges and other than being very busy, there seemed to be nothing else wrong. I have read pages where she acted in a bitchy way to him but he wasn’t acting in a way that would cause hatred from her at that level. So why didn’t the writer give us any examples of his as*hole acts that caused her to hate him that much?

2. This is just a dumb one but I just wonder... Why did she wear bra-less dresses to work where she is the executive assistant to the CEO? I mean you can go out bra-less for shopping if you feel like or walking etc so but would you go to work in a tight dress with no bra if you are the EA of a CEO? I mean, I wouldn’t...

3. Think of a man who is ready to end his business relationship with his EA and wants to start a romantic affair with her... Why does this man write a letter to this woman and put it in a gift box to give her on her 1st anniversary at the job? And why doesn’t the woman open that gift box for months? Why doesn’t the man ask her if she has read the letter or not if he is that much interested in her? Why doesn’t he tell his feelings to her in person instead of writing a letter and putting it in a gift box, in the first place – which century are we in?

4. Why does he do the same “writing a letter and putting it in a gift box” act of stupidity on the 2nd anniversary, as well? Why doesn’t she still open them? What does she think there is in them? Why does she keep them in her drawer if she doesn’t even want to open them?

5. Why does the heroine accept the “fake fiancé” deal, sign it and then continue to be ever bitchier than before? Why doesn’t she try to deserve the $5,000,000 by just pretending for 30 days as she promised when she signed the contract?

6. After seeing his "9-inch-you know what", why does she start to walk in the hotel suite butt-as* naked to attract the attention of her boss? Was it all about the size and nothing else, really?

7. Why was the only sex scene in the book the one in his family’s bathroom while there were people knocking on the door? Such a disappointing scene!

8. Another dumb question of mine: Why is the book titled as "30-day boyfriend"? Actually, it is a 30-day engagement deal so he is her 30-day fiancé, not boyfriend. I know this is not a big deal but I just feel the "rushed careless work" even in the naming of this book.

I have some more brain damaging questions but I think you've got the idea and now I am out - rant over! I really am sorry for being so negative (and my dear friends who liked this book, please don’t hate me, Ok? really... my sincere apologies... I just couldn't help this rant...)

The contract clauses were entertaining and my 1 star goes to only those fun moments with the contract 😊

Why did this have to end?! It Was the perfect sexy read that I was looking for with the humorous banter that I was so desperately craving! Whitney G. Knows her shit ladies and gentleman and with a cocky alpha like Nicholas Wolfe, you couldn’t go wrong with a storyline like this.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Self assertive, cocky, filthy rich, and God’s gift to women, Nicholas Wolfe is the man that every woman wants to be with and tame. Being New York ‘s most eligible bachelor for the past ten years and running his own Empire leaves no room for anything more than a “hookup” and he’s more than ok with that because being committed to someone else, is not for him. That is, unless your name is Emily Johnson then all bets are off.

Being the assistant to one of the most successful and infuriating business man on Wall Street isn’t an easy job but for Emily Johnson, she makes it due. Knowing that she has to figure out her next step when it comes to working with Nicholas before she poisons him, Emily tries to secure a new job. But when you work for the King of Wallstreet, getting away, won’t be easy. But when Nicholas offers her the deal of a lifetime, will Emily submit to it or leave him in the dust?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I loved the sexual tension between these two! I was literally on pins and needles waiting for someone to just rip their clothes off and just go at it. And don’t even get me started on the banter because It was just too funny. From their email communications, to Emily’s flat out refusal of agreeing to certain things, had me snorting with laughter and shaking my head with disbelief.

Now my only complaint is that these stories are too damn short for my liking but they’re seriously addictive and that’s why I could never stop reading them. If you’re looking for a fun, sexy read, this one is for you.

Subject: The Deal
I think it would be in your best interest to accept my offer. I highly doubt the man you eventually marry will be as endowed as me...
—Nicholas

Rich, cocky, handsome as sin business mogul?
CHECK
Smart, sharp witted, beautiful and sassy PA?
CHECK
An enemies to lovers trope with Whitney G's usual fun banter?
CHECK
Enough sexual tension to make anyone squirm in their chair?
CHECK, CHECK AND CHECK!!

Thirty Day Boyfriend was essentially like a longer version of Naughty Boss, but with enough differences to make it a unique standalone. Though if you read Naughty Boss and found yourself craving a story that is a tiny bit longer, this will hit the spot just right. It's not exactly a full novel length, but it's certainly enough to read in one sitting and walk away entirely satisfied.

The trope is a fun one. A brilliant law grad working as a PA for New York's most demanding and richest businessman. After putting in three grueling years of early mornings, late nights, and never ending demands, she's had it. But the problem is, he's not going to let her go so easy.

This was a fun, sexy read full of banter and heat. Whitney never fails to deliver with a sexy alphahole and the smart mouthed and sassy heroine that brings him to his knees. It's witty, humorous, and with just enough heat to make it the icing on the top and not overtaking the story. Thirty Day Boyfriend was a satisfying afternoon read that left a smile on my face.

Well well well. Miss Whitney has done it again. Many of her stories are quite similar, yet, every time I read one they are like a fresh breeze all over again: funny, with strong heroines, arrogant and cocky heroes who is putty in the heroine's hands. And thus is also the formula for Thirty Day Boyfriend.

Can I trust you two not to kill each other while I’m gone?”
We didn’t answer.
“Okay, well...” He sighed. “Just don’t talk to each other at all until I get back.”
“No problem,” we said in unison.

Emily is a workaholic and hates working for her arrogant boss. I have to admit I didn't quite get why she was so hell bent on leaving her job. It wasn't that she shied away from work, no her work ethic was better than stellar. She earned a hell of a lot of money, had benefits an employee can only dream about, a boss who, yes, was arrogant as all get out but the more I learned about him, the more I saw how much he appreciated Emily. A little further in the book I also learned that their relationship wasn't just professional and that Nicholas was actually very sweet with the heroine. So that provided a little bit confusion but didn't take away from my enjoyment of this story at all. But Emily was super smart, ALWAYS had a comeback on her lips and gave as good as she got.

“I’ve told you countless times before that I don’t drink your coffee. I don’t like the extra vanilla you always request.”
He spun the nearly empty cup around in his hands, tapping the part where remnants of my red lipstick stained the lid. “That’s Vinnie’s [male chauffeur] lipstick,” I said.
“I’m sure.”

Nicholas is just what you always get when you pick up a Whitney G. book - a filthy-mouthed, hot, charismatic and controlling man. With Emily he met his match and their banter underscored their explosive chemistry. And yeah, maybe he was a bit of a douche but he was a sweet douche and I loved that his lovable side really stood out towards the end of the story.

If I have one complaint then it's that the story wasn't longer. I would love to have a little bit depth on the characters but hey, those are quick fixes that are as satisfying as a chocolate bar. I love that Whitney G. is reliable like that. She always delivers enjoyable, fun-filled and flirty stories with hilarious dialogues that will make you swoon.

It's been a while since I've read Whitney G's book...

and I still vividly remember the broody bastard lawyer Andrew from No doubt series

and I'm ready for smth light, sexy and funny ;)

and I wasn't wrong in following my gut!

This was indeed light, sexy, funny, snarky, enemies-to-lovers, hate-to-love relationships and I simply devoured it!

The storyline is very simple:
Nicholas A. Wolf is a self-built mogul businessman, a true Wolf of Wall Street and he's demanding, harsh asshole of a boss, and his executive assistant of two years, Emily Johnson is the only one whom he trusts inspite of his cruel assholery ways of conduct but she wants out of her contract and he's mining every step she takes towards that goal.
There's an obvious chemistry and attraction between them but they are both steering clear of physical contradictory contact until the opportunity of making a deal on an enormous account. But for Wolf to close the deal must display a certain image - the one of a commitment, an engaged man. So after the numerous failures to find a woman that would play the part of his fiancee for 30 days until the deal is closed, his mind, body and soul turns to his loyal employee...
So after he drops the bomb...
I need you to pretend to be my girlfriend. Actually, I need you to be my fiancee for the next thirty days.

After the primar shock, Emily agrees under one condition, a large compensation and termination of her contract.
Reluctantly, Wolf agrees to her conditions but soon their pent up sexual attraction and pent up energy, frustration turns into the fireworks from snarky banters, angry outbursts and finally caving in to the pulsating tension that could not be avoided any longer...

and now, nearing the due date, they just need to acknowledge the fact that pretense no longer stands, and this time, they have to face the truth - that they are for real!

This was so much fun to read, it was fast paced, with humor in dialogues and both characters being lovable, sexy, sassy throughout their banter and outgoing ways in every segment.
I simply loved it.

Emily Johnson is a beautiful 28 yr. old woman living in New York, & working on Wall Street as the executive assistant to Nicholas Wolf. Mr. Wolf is the CEO of the billion-dollar corporation Wolf Industries. He’s known as the Wolf of Wall Street, & Emily thinks he’s a total jerk, even if he’s a hot jerk. He’s stunning in his designer suits, & has repeatedly been Mr. Page Six’s Bachelor of the Year. Emily’s worked under him for the last two years. She has a corner office in Manhattan, a huge salary, & all the perks, but she still wants out.

Nicholas Wolf is used to getting what he wants, so when he wants to land a five billion dollar contract & the man he’s doing business with only wants to work with a family friendly CEO, his advisor suggests he change his image. Pretend to be engaged until he seals the deal. He decides the person that would be the easiest to pretend with is the woman that knows him best, his assistant Emily. He offers her a proposition she can’t refuse. A huge severance package & what she wants most. He will let her out of her employment contract if she agrees to be his fake fiancée for the next thirty days.

Nicholas takes Emily to his hometown in Blue Harbor where they act for the press, & try to tolerate one another. As the sexual tension builds their arrangement gets more complicated. Soon they aren’t sure what’s pretending & what’s real as feelings develop. After one month will either of them be able to walk away?

I loved this book so much! It was everything I love about a Whitney G. book. Fun, flirty, sexy, and hot as hell! A fabulous short read.

Up front - the office romance is one of my all time favorite tropes. The sexual tension is divine, and even better if the boss is uber-controlling and a jerk.  It makes for a PERFECT COMBINATION!!!

Now, take all that, a sassy and smart executive assistant, a jerk of a boss, two years of denied sexual attraction, the authors wit and style - and you got an unputdownable novella. And I loved it ALL!!!

30 Day Boyfriend, was FABULOUS!!!

That's all I can say. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous!!!

I smiled so hard, chuckled and smiled some more. Emily and Nicholas were fantastic together. Their chemistry was off the charts, their knowledge of each other a source of envy, and their little squabbles and pushing each others buttons a delight.

I just wish it would have been LONGER!!!!!

Whitney G's writing is a much adored aspect of her books, but some her books are even more amazing than others, and 30 Day Boyfriend was one of them. I adored it from beginning to end. There was a scene at the end that made me all gooey inside. I think I even caught myself tearing up. Or maybe I said ahhhhh out loud. Clearly, I was SMITTEN!!!

I have to say the author has a skill for writing novellas. Not every author can do it but Whitney G is doing them masterfully. Almost too good!!! Because I'm left behind wanting MORE!!!

I couldn't get enough of Nicholas and Emily. Their interactions, email communications, but especially their deep understanding off each other was what made me fall in love with this book. The authors trademark wit was apparent on each page. She gave these two characters heart and soul. I couldn't get enough of them!!

I did not want to put it down. It was unputdownable!!!

So, for all of you who like office romances with a good amount of sexual tension. And don't forget a jerk of a boss - this book is a MUST!!!!

It was quick, easy and utterly satisfying!!!

This is your typical boss/employee love/hate relationship, however, as the story progresses we find out how they really feel.

It's true that Emily has mostly always hated working for Nicholas. The problem is that she's really good at her job...too good. When her two year anniversary of working for him arrives, she's decided she's had enough. However, he's always one step ahead of her and blocks her progress in every way.

Unfortunately, Nicholas finds himself in a tough spot when he needs Emily for a particular business deal...just not in her usual way. He needs to become a family man overnight and he needs her to be his girlfriend/fiancé.

description

She's not having any of that until Nicholas succumbs to her outrageous demands and then the fun begins. Emily does have her bratty moments though...and maybe a few too many at that.

The time comes when they have to pose for publicity photos and Nicholas takes full advantage...knocking Emily's socks off with an amazing kiss...one she can't stop thinking about. Open the floodgates because that kiss just tore down any walls she still had standing.

The struggle was my favorite part. I love them getting to know each other better and revealing their inner selves. My favorite part was when she finally opened up the prior two year anniversary presents from him. ~Sigh~ it was so romantic!

I quite enjoy Whitney G.'s books and as always, the problem is they're too short and because of that they lack depth. But...they're always good for a quickie! ;)

Kind of sad this was just a novella.

SPOILERS BELOW ⬇️

This book should have been a full-length novel but even though it was just a novella, it worked well. It gave us all the information we needed and background to make it all believable. Also helped that it made me care about these two MC's.

Emily is quitting on her 2-year work anniversary, but her boss Nicholas steamrolls every interview she had lined up and reminding her of the agreement she signed that she would be working exclusively with him for 4 years before she can quit.

In the midst of that he is stuck trying to win a contract, but the guy will not sell to him as he sees him as such another playboy and wants a family man to buy his company sooo this is where the fake engagement trope comes in.

Emily agrees since Nicholas will give her 5 million dollars and free her from her work contract in 30 days.

Seems easy right?

Well yeah no. These two have intense sexual chemistry and tension. Neither of them has ever made any moves nor brought up the subject but we do get their POVs, and she wants him while he also wants her.

He's been celibate since he met her, and she has not had a boyfriend for 1.5 years. On the first anniversary of her job, he basically gave her a gift and a letter confessing his feelings and wanting to be with her, but she never opened it and it's the same gift on the 2nd anniversary.

He's basically been in love with her for ages and we get the sweetest scene where he opens up to everyone about how it happened while she thinks he is just playing the role of a ''fake fiancé''.

These two were basically a couple just without the intimacy lol

I loved it. It was short and sweet.

I love these super sexy books I can read over a couple of coffees or a couple of glasses of wine! This is a delicious, light hearted office romance.

Author Whitney G. is consistent in delivering stories that will vastly make me smile with just the right mix of humor and antagonism, tender and sexiness. Thirty Day Boyfriend is a huge hit. I greedily read this story about a douche canoe boss, his smart and feisty executive assistant, and the two years of repressed sexual tension between the two that’s about to shatter and change the nature of their relationship.

Even in a novella, Gracia’s writing style provides a satisfying reading experience, the snarky dialog, the hot chemistry and witty characters combine together in a way that made me smile, enjoy every word and in the end wish there was more.

Nicholas Wolf is a workaholic. He’s dedicated to his career and obsessing about his very attractive assistant who is clearly hates him as evidenced by her continual job hunt elsewhere. And so he spends his time hindering her efforts and ruthlessly pursuing one business deal after the next until one such endeavor requires him to present himself as a family man.

It is then that Nicholas proposes an arrangement to Emily, pretend to be his fiancée for thirty days and then let her out of her employment. On paper, it was a perfect deal. Until they fought during the entire trip to his hometown and then he showed her who the bigger man was by dropping his towel.
“Should I assume that you didn’t steal any sips of this today like usual?”
“I’ve told you countless times before that I don’t drink your coffee. I don’t like the extra vanilla you always request.”

He spun the nearly empty cup around in his hands, tapping the part where remnants of my red lipstick stained the lid.

As these to fight through all methods of communication, face to face, via email or post it notes, we also get to know them, we see the depth of their relationship as the two know each other like the back of their hands. They know their likes and dislikes, their actions show they care for each other even when their words don’t. I was so engrossed with these two that I forgot to highlight, I forgot about the world, I forgot myself and just enjoyed watching them fall in love and wished I had more.

Thirty Day Boyfriend is a lighthearted, sexy standalone office romance novella by Whitney Gracias Williams. It is told from both points of view and has a happy ending.

Witty banter and tension galore

Somehow, in this short novella, I got more tension than full length novels. But the banter is oh so good 😮‍💨.

Emily’s (28) trying to quit, but keeps striking left and right 😅. Her ahole bossy boss Nicholas (30s?) Wolf of Wolf Industries has made it incredibly hard to do that. She’s tired of working endless hours and spending more time with her boss than anyone else. Plus, she can’t help but he attracted to his cockiness 😐. So when the opportunity comes to quit in exchange for him to be his fake fiancé, she bumps at the chance (after negotiating a better pt🤣💅).

Nicholas wants Emily 😅, and he’s not gonna make it easy for her to quit. When the opportunity to sign a 5 billion dollar deal comes, he has to take it. But, he has to prove he’s a family man, not the playboy many think of him as 😬, and Emily knows him better than he knows himself 👏🏻. She’ll be the perfect candidate.

If only he can convince her to do this with him 😬.

What I liked/loved: possible spoilers
—the banter 😮‍💨. It’s always so so good!! Gah. If I ever need a light-heated, fun read, I know I can count on Whitney G. Emily and Nicholas banter as if they’ve been married for decades.

—the contract 🤣. Ermagod! This was gold! The contract Nicholas drew up made me cackle. He’s so cocky and such an ahole even when it’s an “official” document 🤣

—the tension 👀. Their minds are telling them no, but their bodies are telling them yeah 🔥. Gah! Their first official kiss was chef’s kiss 😮‍💨, even I was feeling butterflies

—the 🔥. I love me a dirty talking alpha, and Nicholas has a diiiirty mouth 🥵. Emily can’t help but listen to his commands 💦

—the anniversary letters 👀. This was soooo cute 😭. Darn you Emily for taking so open them 😭

—the wedding ring 🥰. The fact that he remembered what she ACTUALLY likes ❤️

—knowing who she is ❤️. He could never be confused between her and her twin sister. To him, they’re completely different 🥰 sigh 🥹

—the sweet moments ❤️

—being celibate 👏🏻. It’s been longer for him than her 💅. It’s implied it’s been about two years or so, but it’s for sure been a year and a half for her since she and her ex broke up. I luuuurved this 🥰

What I wanted more of:
—an epilogue 😭. We don’t get one 😐. It just… ends

—a longer/drawn out ending. Sigh. Having an epilogue would’ve helped this a lot.

Overall, I really enjoyed this ❤️

⚠️safety squad⚠️
-no cheating/sharing/owd/omd
-no virgins
-biting/dirty talk
-condoms/it’s been a while for both of them. The h had a boyfriend 1.5 years ago and it’s implied he’s been celibate for about that time, or maybe even longer (he’s known her for two years)
-HEA/no epilogue

I would've read it even with the overused cliched plot, because I like Whitney G's writing style.
However Whitney is notoriously known for her fondness to write embarrassing scenes for heroines, which then gives the heroes an emotional upper hand leading to sex. I feel absolutely icky about those situations, and I as a woman would have taken out a skillet on those situations to wipe off the smirk off the assholes' faces, not be quivering mess!

I enjoyed this one!!!

Their chemistry was HAWT!!! Which isn’t a surprise for this author! We always get great couples with hot chemistry!

My only complain is that the whole book felt rushed and I wanted more sex scenes! I liked the storyline (not anything original) but I wanted to be longer and to see a couple of chapters with them being together for real and have amazing sex!!!

Short lovely story!!!

P.S. This author turned out to be one of my fav! Can’t wait for more books!!

4.5 Hero Love Stars

A sexy, overbearing Boss in a killer suit who drives his Assistant crazy.

A sassy, strong Assistant who doesn’t take his crap, but would just a soon slap him as kiss him.

What happens when these two decide to fake a relationship for the sake of business? Tempers flare and sparks fly!!

I'm sure this will be another instant hit from Whitney G. Her signature banter and humor come shining through. Nicholas and Emily are AWESOME! I loved both character so much! He's controlling and overbearing. She's feisty and take charge. They're a match made in heaven.
In a word, this book is...amazing!
So, did I love it?

Highly recommended to fans of Office romances, the fake relationship trope, and excellent banter.

Thirty Day Boyfriend is classic Whitney G. She can spin a story that’s equal parts funny, sexy, and sweet.

Her knack for creating appealing alphaholes is on full display here. I fell a little bit in love with Nicholas Wolf (aka The Wolf) from the beginning, even with his controlling, selfish, and egotistical behavior. What a charismatic douche.

The lovely Emily, Nicholas’s personal assistant, is his perfect sparring partner. She’s not some meek little sheep. Oh no. She’s wicked smart, fluent in sarcasm, and doesn’t take his crap. I was crazy about the push and pull between them.

This novella avoids two major pitfalls associated with romantic short stories: the dreaded insta-love and an abrupt ending. I’m a greedy reader, so I wouldn’t have minded more time spent with Emily and Nicolas because I really enjoyed them as a couple. This is one entertaining quickie.
