To the Tower Born: A Novel of the Lost Princes

This is another book by Robin Maxwell which is the opposite of "couldn't put it down" and is more like, "Get this away from me". I keep giving Maxwell a chance but perhaps it is time to give up.
The princes in the tower (Richard and Edward) who were "locked" up by their "usurping, evil, uncle Richard III"; is a historical tale which needs no exaggeration, no tangents, and no additions because it is an episode of "Unsolved Mysteries" in its own right. So why does Maxwell insist on adding such complete crap (to be blunt) to the story and basically making a mockery of it? Who knows. Perhaps I am too obsessive with fact, and I AM a fan of historical fiction believe it or not, but To the Tower Born is more of a story written for young adults versus history buffs.
Skip this book and read "The Princes in the Tower" by Alison Weir, instead.

How did you even manage yourself to finish this one? I am having an extremely difficult time myself.

Ah ok, that explains it! I am indeed skimming to the end .. curiosity killed the cat and all... I want to see who did it. I am guessing she is going to say Buckingham.
I could have told you to skip it! lol. Yeah, most people do think he did it but not that he personally did it but that Richard told Buckingham who told the actual killers. Either way, my issue is with Maxwell's writing and not necessarily her conclusion (since I didn't know it because I didn't finish lol).
Yeah I banged my head a few times & wanted to pull my hair out. But I've already wasted 2 days of my reading life on this & dammit I am going to make it count towards my challenge if it kills me.
