I've been bingeing on Liane Moriarty's books and I'm in awe of her talent. She's an amazing writer, with a deep understanding of the human nature, especially of women.
I absolutely loved this book.
As it's the case with all her other novels, all the characters are extremely relatable, as they're everyday people.
Liane Moriarty is masterful at unpeeling the many masks we wear - be it when we pick our kids from school, at work, with our friends, with our parents, and with our partners.
I love how she comes up with plots that make you wonder what you would have done had you been in the same situation as some of the characters. The moral conundrums abound.
Moriarty is wonderful at showing life's many shades of grey. Life is complex, people are complex, things are not always, if ever, black and/or white.
Again, Caroline Lee, the narrator of this audiobook, was just wonderful.
I'm looking forward to listening to the last two Moriarty novels that I'm yet to consume: "The Hypnotist's Wife" and "What Alice Forgot".
This will go towards my Australian Author Challenge on www.bookloverbookreviews.com.

Her books are simple and complex at the same time. Literature out of the ordinariness of suburban life.

She sure is special. She's one of those authors whose books have a high quality.

Thanks, Brandice. So far, this and BLL are my favourites, well.

Thanks, Angela. I'm surprised you haven't read Big Little Lies, as it seems to be her most popular. I'm definitely looking forward to the next two audiobooks - her novels work really well as audiobooks.

Thanks, Wen. She's a great writer. If you want to read something more literary - Tim Winton is your man. He's one of my favourite writers of all time.

Funny that you mentioned Tim Winton Bianca. I started listening to Cloudstreet audiobook on Sunday, but was struggling with the narrator's accent too much to enjoy the book itself. ;-( Have to read text at a later time. but Hey I started Big Little Lies last night and was hooked.
Hey this is Mystery and Thriller week on GR anyway. :)

Great review, Bianca! I’ve never read Moriarty. What would be a good book to begin with? Big Little Lies?
Wonderful review, Bianca, I've only read her Big Little Lies, and I enjoyed that. I'm glad to see how much you enjoyed this one, because I've debated on which of hers to read next!

Absolutely, Deanna. Can't wait to get stuck into another one soon.

Thanks, Glenn. Probably BLL would be the most interesting, if you hadn't already watched the miniseries. The Husband's Secret was pretty good as well.

I think one gets something out of any of her books, even those less popular. She does character so well. Domestic drama at its best.

Fantabulous review, Bianca. You’re so right about Moriarty creating plots that make us ask “What would I do?” I liked this book too, but What Alice Forgot is my definite favorite. Hope you can get to it soon! Would love to hear what you think.

Thank you, Debbie. My turn for What Alice Forgot is at the end of May. Before that, I'm going to listen to the Hypnotist's Wife.
