I know what you mean, but I've read the scene (in the review) and such a scene at 71% is just not my cup of tea, no matter what the circumstances were at that time.
I could get over such a scene if this happened earlier in a story. I still wouldn't be okay with it, but I could maybe accept it for what it is.

I read the scene as well (in the book :)) and as unpleasant as it was - and it really was - it was not cheating in my book.
Still, there are way too many books out there for you to have to pick up something you would not be comfortable with. I guess we all have that 'don't touch' shelf we add books to for various reasons :)

But... There actually was something in this book where that scene was not only closure, but a firm slamming of the door on that part of his life, nailing it shut, then erecting a cement wall in front of it.
No, I didn't like that scene, but I think without it, there wouldn't have been any fully moving on with the life that he wants now and forever.
I still really loved the series, so I wouldn't let that review stop anyone from giving the books a chance. But that's just my honest opinion. : )
