I enjoyed book one but book two definitely had the edge for me. It was fast paced and action packed from the get-go and I found it such an easy read. This easily managed to retain my attention and I enjoyed this a lot.
I absolutely adored Hudson and the dynamic he shared with Grace. For me, Hudson totally overshadows Jaxon in every way. Hudson felt like the man his brother is reaching towards and he's definitely been misunderstood and judged unfairly by those that are close to him.
The finale here was edge of your seat stuff and I'm now excited to see where we go from here, especially in regards to the Grace Jaxon and Hudson situation. I'm not usually a fan of any sort of love triangle but for this particular series it kinda worked and surprisingly didn't bother me that much....more

I read Twilight years ago and I enjoyed it, It even managed to get my teenage daughter into books and she's still a prolific reader to this day and was hoping Crave would give me a similar sort of experience which pleased to say it did.

Here Tiger Jonas and co realise the corruption and danger is far worse and reaches wider than they could ever have imagined. They are now hell bent on stopping the threat that puts everyone in danger.
This was an easy read that certainly kept me entertained and on my toes. Tiger and Jonas have become a deadly team and now that they have trust in each other also a force to be reckoned with.
There are some truly heartbreaking moments and some very tense situations. We finally arrive at the critical point we've been heading towards throughout the trilogy achieving our objective and this managed to conclude leaving me satisfied with where we'd arrived at.
This series is well written and a rollercoaster of a ride. I've loved Tiger and Jonas throughout this they do make a charismatic team. I've enjoyed every moment and have no issue giving it my seal of approval....more
I really enjoyed this second book and once again I was swept away into this rich futuristic world. The world building here is phenomenal and probably I really enjoyed this second book and once again I was swept away into this rich futuristic world. The world building here is phenomenal and probably the strongest thing about this series. This a plot driven not a romance so felt very different from my usual fare. Our protagonist Tiger uses all of her assets to forward her agenda which means falling back on all of her old Lure training in seduction warfare, she's determined to save the children and if she also enjoys her work that only an added bonus.
Tiger is a strong capable character, she's determined and single minded and her loyalty once earned is ingrained deep. It was also refreshing to see that she knows her limits and though pushes them to the max isn't sentimental when push comes to shove.
I also appreciated the growth that came in regards to her complicated relationship with Jonas a burgeoning trust is developing and it was also refreshing that she was able to save herself but was willing to accept his help as backup. I'm also excited that we have some movement on the attraction between them just an acknowledgement of it but it's progress for sure.
That finale though was absolutely mental and I was on the edge of my seat throughout what a finish. I'm now incredibly excited going into the home straight. Can't recommend this series enough and I'm enjoying reading this trilogy a lot....more

This author has managedA futuristic fantasy read that had me in a chokehold almost instantly. This was so good and the world-building was incredible. This author has managed to create a reality that felt authentically real with such attention to detail. There a new to me author but got to say based on this first book I'm impressed and can't wait now to delve into book two and continue the story.
It's set in a futuristic world many years after a war took place. Our protagonist is Tiger a genetically engineered humanoid super soldier. Initially created to even the odds between the Humans and shifters. Dechets as they called were the enslaved cannon-fodder. Used by the humans, hated and named monsters by the shifters all were thought eradicated after the war.
Tiger resides in the old underground bunker and facility at the edge of Central. Mostly isolated and hidden here along with her ghosts. These companions are the dechet children that were in her care and were murdered horrifically when the base was targeted by the shifters at the cease of the war.
Rescuing a Shifter male and his young niece from roaming vampires pulls Tiger into a situation she wants no part of and could even place her in direct danger If they manage to discover just what she's hiding and what she is it's game over. Jonas and his niece Penny bring with them a whole heap of trouble.
We follow our protagonist Tiger who is a mix of human, shifter and vampire. A lure made to entice and infiltrate rather than a soldier she has some interesting talents. As an individual she's very likable, she's also has a strong moral compass. She's especially attached and protective towards her ghost little ones that she regards as her children and is a fierce mama bear to anything that threatens them.
Don't go into this expecting romance. I can definitely see something maybe developing between Tiger and Jonas going forward as there's a definite attraction but for the most part this is Tigers story so the focus is on her so any romance if it happens going forward I'd imagine would be more of a sub-plot.
What we do have is plenty of action, mistrust, betrayal. There are shifters and vampires and a mystery to unravel involving missing shifter children. There's also some sexy bits as Tigers way of getting information involves seduction and stealth as well as her stellar fighting capabilities. This one really was non-stop and I wasn't once bored. I'm now incredibly excited to see where we go next especially with that dramatic finish and I don't blame Tig one bit for having enough....more

A solid debut novel and a different take on the supernatural world because of the set-up here this felt fresh and though I had some small issues as a whole this was an enjoyable read with plenty of future potential and expansion within the world. It's sole POV and our heroine is Ava, she's a student who after some less-than-sensible choices finds herself mixed up in a world she had no idea even existed. Here she becomes the familiar of vampire Madigan, a supernatural with an old-world vibe.
I enjoyed this and thought it was intriguing. It was well written and a quick read and though I wasn't quite convinced of the chemistry between Ava and Madigan I did like them both as individuals.
I do wish the romance had been focused on more rather than the dangerous scenarios that we did, this was the area I had some issues connecting with. Madigan could also have used some deeper insights as I don't think he stands out as much as Ava did but this may have been because this was sole POV. I just didn't feel that I got to know him as well as I would have liked, he remains for the most part quite elusive and mysterious as a love interest. Especially when placed alongside Ava who i felt we got to know much better. The carnival setting could have also been expanded on as it wasn't a vibe and I think this would have greatly enriched this story.
This does have closure on Madigan and Ava and this is the first book in what I'd expect to be a series focusing on different characters within this world. Taken as a whole though this was still an interesting introduction and was an intriguing start. It was well written and I did enjoy myself I also loved that it was set in the UK as it made it feel relatable to me. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of The Vampire and the Scorpion.

I enjoyed this one, it a new to me author and I received this in a book box I subscribe to. The copy is bloody gorgeous and being a shifter paranormal romance it was right up my street so I was excited to get stuck in. This had a distinct style of narration that initially left me slightly unsure if we'd click, but after a few chapters, I was invested in the unfolding drama. Was it perfect no, but it sure was entertaining and the drama was non-stop. It all had a kind of soap opera over-the-top feel to it, but for me, this only made it even more digestible.
Some of the scenarios were definitely ridiculous, and some of the dialogue was a tad cheesy. The characters as much as I loved them we had some real caricatures, but I don't know what it was I was enthralled as well as entertained. I also appreciated it being set in my neck of the woods, the UK and the familiarity of all this only added to my sense of comfort.
This is told from multiple POVs, this is what I mean by distinct writing, any character at any given time could jump in with a thought or perspective, making it easy to connect and feel invested. The central two characters were Scarlet and Elijah, they are stepbrother and sister, so not blood-related and not as major of a big deal as everyone was alluding to here. Elijah is the heir to the Blood Moon pack and both of their parents are an item. Scarlett along with her mother and sister Indigo escaped their old pack, faking their deaths to get away from an abusive situation. The Blood Moon pack took them in and Jackson, Elijah's father accepted the girls as his daughter's.
There's a whole load of drama, lots of procrastination from Scarlet about whether she should lower her high walls for Elijah. A whole lot of spice, in fact, the heat is high for this one. Elijah could be a bit of an arrogant misogynistic fuck-boy pre-Scarlett, but to be fair to him he does change once they become a thing and it's totally obvious he is bloody smitten and would do anything for his Red even reject his own fated mate chosen by the moon goddess herself if it doesn't turn out they are fated to each other like he hopes and suspects. Scarlett also wasn't perfect she could definitely be a bit of a drama llama and is also rather high maintenance emotionally, she makes snap illogical judgements and is somewhat unreasonable, but I liked that neither of these two were perfect and both had their faults, it made it feel more real.
This was entertaining and easy to digest I'm going to be reading more by this author and totally recommend giving this a go. It felt fresh-voiced despite it being a common enough story maybe because of the writing style used. There was a bit of everything provided we had danger, passion, intrigue, betrayal, heartbreak the list was endless. I'm now incredibly intrigued and excited to see what comes next with this series.

I think this author may not be for me, I struggled to connect with the writing style, I found it chaotic which I suspect was meant to give a quirky and cutesy vibe which isn't my style. it's the first thing I've read by this author as I know she usually writes STEM rom-coms which also do nothing for me and are not my preferred genre. But because this was a paranormal which is definitely my thing i decided to give it a bash.
Look this wasn't bad and I can see why some people like this author as there wasn't anything overly wrong here, it was well written and usually I'm all for an arranged marriage, enemies to lovers trope, but Rowe and Misery weren't even really enemies or even that antagonist to each other. I'd call this enemies to lovers only in a very loose sense. One is a were the other a Vampyre hence they are natural enemies and really that's about the extent of it.
This focuses on an arranged marriage to unify a peace and Rowe, Alpha of his pack and Misery a pawn of her people and outcast all her life are contracted to wed each other to achieve this ceasefire. There was also some mystery and intrigue sprinkled in and Misery, well I'd imagine she reads like a typical Ali heroine despite her being a Vampyre. She had that Quirky absent-minded clueless persona I've seen mentioned in her other books. Obviously, this is second-hand information being my first book by this author this is just what I've heard from other readers
I found the overall lack of physical descriptions of the characters other than the bare minimum failed to paint me a cohesive picture, this, in turn, had a knock-on effect on my connection to them all as people. They just felt very cardboard cutout. I just wasn't invested or even that interested and I found the chemistry between Lowe and Misery flat and without much heat. This was also a slow burn which I'm not averse to, but to be frank, by the time we actually saw some action between these two i was so over it.
And can we just talk about the name 'Misery' what even in all shades of hell was that all about, the weirdest name ever. Also, Vampyre's here seemed to be only one slight step up from a human and Misery herself came across as the most ditzy, slightly pathetic doormat ever. Rowe didn't fare much better either and his most distinctive character trait is his martyr complex. There was also an unnecessary scene after these two finally sealed the deal, that was pointless, I don't even know why it was included, it added zero to the story and went nowhere.
In a nutshell, I was bored and i don't think I'll be reading this author again in the future. This was basically a middle-of-the-road read for me and was largely forgettable. I didn't particularly dislike it, but I also didn't actually like it that much either. Maybe I'm in the minority but I don't get the hype and for the most part, I found this underwhelming. However, I do take on board that this is most likely a me thing and this author maybe just isn't my cup of tea.
Wow, I loved this so much, I do adore this author's writing and this wasn't my first book by them by any means, but here I was reminded [image] [image]
Wow, I loved this so much, I do adore this author's writing and this wasn't my first book by them by any means, but here I was reminded once again why they are an auto-buy author for me and i raced through this in a single evening. My favourite series by this author is The Dark in You, Knox and Harper hold one of my top spots for favourite pairings in a paranormal romance novel. Well, Wynter and Cain are currently becoming a serious contender now as well. Loved Wynter and adored Cain and this was an easy read that was effortless and so enjoyable.
This is a fantasy/paranormal romance read and the fantastical elements in this take place in a present-day world but within secret pockets hidden from mundane everyday humans, so a world within a world. Wynter Dellavale is a witch with dark magic, she belongs to a coven that since some traumatic events in her childhood places her apart, hence she's treated with suspicion and alienation by her fellow witches and mages.
Her town is governed by Aeons powerful immortal beings and her coven's most heartfelt wish is to be invited to live in the subterranean city below. To do this they decide that Wynter must be exiled, her magic too dark and different to co-exist. Expecting to have her memory of Aeon wiped instead Wynter finds herself on the run after she vows vengeance when the truth of Aeon and all who leave it is finally revealed.
Taking refuge in Devil's cradle, the fabled home of monsters, home to the Ancients, the Aeon's sworn enemies with a ragtag bunch of found family is the best protection Wynter can think of. It's here she meets Cain an otherworldly and powerful ancient, the price for her resendency and safety is partial relinquishment of her soul and almost instantly she feels a connection and attraction to the powerful male as he does to her.
With secrets being kept on both sides, these two come together and Wynter's presence in Cains's life pushes back the darkness of his long-eeked existence. His plans to sleep for a spell were put on hold with her arrival in his life.
This has found family, humour, passion, magic and so much more. I loved the dynamic between Wynter and her crew, they are such a bunch of misfits but they just slot together so perfectly. I liked the lack of artifice and drama between Wynter and Cain, there is no unnecessary conflict they behave like adult beings and communicate honestly and though both are keeping their origins and secrets close, it also felt open in as such they both recognise that unless they reveal their own cards they have no business expecting the other to be forthcoming either. Yes, it's kinda insta, as in there's no artifice behind their initial lust, but this works well and the story though not finished yet did conclude on an HFN, so no major cliffhangers either. I also totally appreciate the fact that Wynter is equally as vengeful as Cain, to many heroines are not this way inclined and I loved that Wynter totally matched Cain's energy in this, she's bad-ass and she owns it
This was well-written and such an easy read that consumed me totally. I can't wait to begin the next instalment in the series and discover more. I recommend reading this or even anything written by this author.

This was a rollercoaster of such intense emotions by the time this finished I was bloody destroyed and the tears were dripping down my face. This gutted me healed me and destroyed me equally. What a read I was transfixed throughout. I think book two has a slight edge over its predecessor and I highly recommend this duet. It's been a while since a story has captivated me so much and I'm being intentionally vague here as this is an experience that you need to go into blind.
This continues where we left off and with Galantia's heart in pieces. I don't think there was anything that Malyr could do to redeem himself to me, his cruel actions towards Galantia playing with her emotions the way he did unjustifiable and then Sebian, whilst he was more honest in his end game but was equally as distant just in a less obvious way.
Here Galantia gets to be the rock star she was always meant to be and I loved watching her give it back tenfold. This again was completely absorbing and brought the dark and I loved it. By the conclusion i adored both Malyr and Sebian and believed in their complete adoration for Galentia, so fortunately they did manage to turn it around. But man how this all resolves was for sure brutal and totally heartbreaking as well. So well written and an immersive experience, definitely check your triggers as this story has them in abundance and bring the tissues as you're for sure going to need them. Very few books move me to tears and this had me sobbing like a baby.
This is a fantasy romance set in a fictional land where an intense war has been raging between the ordinary humans and the Ravens, magic[image] [image]
This is a fantasy romance set in a fictional land where an intense war has been raging between the ordinary humans and the Ravens, magical beings who can transform into Ravens. There's actually a bit more to it than that but that's the general gist. Whilst journeying to join her betrothed a man she's never met, Galantia finds herself taken prisoner by the enemy and used as leverage against her father.
This was a great read and this was incredibly imaginative and in places so dark. Malyr, her captor can be very cruel it's like all of the hate he's been storing away inside from his traumatic past at the hands of her father he unleashes on Galantia. Who from an accident of birth and being her father's daughter now has a target painted firmly on her and has inherited all of his poisonous venom.
So we have two potential love interests to whom Galantia is drawn, Sebian who is kind to her and Malyr who shows his affections in very much a different way. For a girl who has never been shown much affection Galantia just craves love and sucks it all up like a sponge which then makes her extremely vulnerable and blind to betrayal and now with that dramatic ending, I'm finding it extremely difficult to reconcile and find justification in Malyr's actions. At least at the start of this, he was honest in his behaviour but how this ended well let's just say it was extremely cruel at least Sebian can separate Galantia from her father, unlike his prince.
I also guessed the reveal regarding Galantia and I hope she raises merry hell in the conclusion. This was different and so intriguing and very well written, I'm definitely planning to read the conclusion, I highly recommend reading this its a stand-out read.

This was a pleasant surprise, the first time I've read this author but I'm impressed. The only thing I'm sad about is I didn't realise this wasn't complete and now I have to wait till bloody June to read the sequel. This is a paranormal, fake-dating, small-town fated-mates romance with suspense. Tori has been on the run for four years. Born into a hunter family her world was shattered when she shifted into a wolf becoming the monster she was taught to hate and fear. Now she barely exists as her life is spent on the road evading the hunters who are never far behind.
Blackwood Creek was only meant to be a temporary refuge but here Tori finds her heart in the form of the local Mayor and Alpha Ridge. When she becomes the prime suspect in a murder Ridge steps up to protect her claiming her as his fake fiance. Now Tori is engaged to the Mayor and it's not long before she wishes their pretence was her reality.
This one was so well written and such an easy page-turner. It's quite a lengthy book but I wasn't ever bored and the relationship between Tori and Ridge was magical. Ridge is such a protective passionate dream and the patience and care he shows Tori is the stuff dreams are made of, he's the real deal.
There's found family, passion and love, lots of danger as Tori being in Blackwood means the hunters are hot on her tail. There are also secrets that she's keeping close to her chest as she believes that if Ridge discovers them he will hate her. Tori is also dealing with a partially feral wolf as suppressing this part of herself and being a lone wolf has resulted in some extreme consequences.
My only small grumble is that I wanted Ridge to just tell Tori who she was to him and also for Tori to fess up regarding her secrets. Other than that I was grand and this is a read I highly recommend. I'm for sure reading book two when it is released.

This second book begins where its predecessor left off with Freya and her entourage journeying for answers whilst the Ironwood pack is still hot on their heels. Freya's heat is still swiftly approaching and it's a race against time to locate somewhere safe to hole up for the duration. There's some progression here in regards to answers regarding Freya's origins but I am still so curious and want to know more. I liked how much more aware Gage and Heath are, in this instalment, they've finally accepted how they feel for Freya and now just need to convince her and win her trust. Not an easy task when they manage to consistently screw up. Flint is his usual rock-solid self and he's the only one that's been consistent throughout.
This had passion and heat and plenty of chemistry the howling echoes feel so much more like a unit than they've ever been before. Freya being the glue and their common goal. We also get some tiny hints of Rowan and my instincts say he's going to be a major feature in book three so I'm looking forward to that.
The finale was unexpected and left me wanting more. I'm enjoying this series a lot. Freya can be a bit of a drama llama and has a tendency to overthink but I do like her as a character and think she's soon going to burst out of her shell and surprise us all. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of Marked for the pack.
I enjoyed this, it's my first experience with this author and is a rejected mate shifter reverse-harem romance set in a fantasy world. T [image] [image]
I enjoyed this, it's my first experience with this author and is a rejected mate shifter reverse-harem romance set in a fantasy world. This is the first book in a series and focuses on Freya a wolf shifter of mysterious origins who because of her murky past and inability to access her wolf is afforded status at the bottom rung of her pack. Targeted and bullied her whole life she thinks things can't get any worse. But when she's paired with the alpha's son as his Fated mate amidst his engagement to another powerful pack he publicly rejects her and she is cast out into the Wildlands. A dangerous lawless place and an expected death sentence.
Rescued by Flint who belongs to a small nomad pack the howling echoes Freya makes the only choice she can they'll keep her temporarily safe, but in return, she has to agree to belong to all three of them, just until she's through her approaching heat. Flint Gage and Heath are all alphas that comprise Freya's new reality and every one of them makes her mouth water. But she's keeping a secret, they have no idea she can't shift into her wolf and as each day passes and Freya gets more attached she worries that once they realise she's broken they won't want her any more.
I enjoyed this a lot it's well-written and an easy read. It's told from multiple POVs, so Freya, then all of the men. It's raw and graphic and doesn't pull its punches and the sex is absolutely smoking and downright dirty. It's not an insta-love romance and some of the sexy scenes skirt the boundaries but it all still felt very consensual.
Each male felt distinct with their own personality. Gage is a hard face and is prepared to make the hard choices for the pack, he was deeply betrayed and as a result of this baggage doesn't trust easily, especially women. Heath is his enforcer he's no pushover and can be harsh but he also has a softer side and can be a charmer when he's a mind to. Then we have Flint the baby of the bunch he's a total poppet and the sweet one he decides instantly he wants Freya for his own and it's his refusal to leave her to her fate that sets this whole deal in motion, as for Freya herself I believe we have only just touched the surface of what she might be capable of.
There's danger and action and Freya's old pack still wants her back and not for anything good. When we left this I was still very much intrigued and I'm excited to see how things develop from here on out. I enjoyed this one a whole lot and recommend reading it. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of Protected by outcasts.
This was good but I didn't enjoy it quite as much as its predecessor nothing can top that one for me but it was still a good read. This [image] [image]
This was good but I didn't enjoy it quite as much as its predecessor nothing can top that one for me but it was still a good read. This is Tricks and Tiago's story he's an ancient Wyr a Thunderbird and one of Drago's Sentinels she's the former PR head for Cuelebre enterprises and now recently resurfaced dark Fae heir.
After an attempt on Tricks now Niniane Lorelle's life is captured on the internet Tiago is dispatched to protect her, but she has no intention of turning tail and running back to the safety of her adopted Wyr family. So he stays right beside her to keep her safe and the two grow closer.
Soon the only thing Tiago wants is her and discovering that she is his mate means she then becomes his reason for everything. It doesn't matter if the dark Fae won't accept him he's here for the long haul, Niniane is the only thing that now matters, but the danger is escalating and identifying their enemies isn't that easy.
This wasn't as fast-paced as the previous read but I did love the emotional connection between these two and they had great chemistry together. This was well written and an easy read and I do recommend this series.

This was another good addition to this series and it was another easy read. We are back within Quarry pack territory and Mari is another orphan living in the female single pack's cabin. Mari is whimsical and very feminine and despite her background still a bit of a dreamer discovering her mate in Darragh an older feral wolf that lives separated from the pack was initially a shock. When Mari's heat is triggered she expects her mate to claim her instead he does the bare minimum and leaves her unclaimed without a bite and provides minimal explanations for his behaviour.
Fast forward four years and Mari has learnt to lock down the bond and despite the constant gifts of meat Darragh gifts her, she now wants nothing to do with him. But when her life is placed in danger all bets are off and Mari finally discovers the real reason her mate has kept his distance and it's not for the reasons she's assumed.
This was less rejected and more protected from afar. I liked both Mari and Darragh, he had a gruff growly persona and he was the cloud to Mari's sunshine. Even their wolves were such polar opposites. Darragh attempting to protect Mari from his wolf meant that he couldn't claim what he so desperately wanted and because of his isolation and limited social skills he was unable to express this leaving her thinking the worst. This also had some action and danger and I was on the edge of my seat throughout this part. I also absolutely adored how Darragh's wolf was with Mari's especially considering just how dangerous he was and how dainty she was.

So I've rated this a three but there's a valid reason behind why this didn't pack the punch of its predecessor for me. So because Ben and Thad's story takes place on the same timeline as Mave and Blake's I felt like I was reading the same story only from an alternative perspective all over again. This means I always knew what was around the corner and though there were distinct differences it still had too many similarities to feel in any way fresh.
I still highly rate this author and adore her writing and maybe if I hadn't read this back to back but with a gap between, enough for it to feel somewhat distant and fade somewhat in my memory then I might have appreciated this more. I still enjoyed this and it was well written and I will be finishing the series as I want to experience Knox's redemption story.
So this is Thad and Bens's story it's a M/M shifter romance and this takes us through the same timeline as the first book just telling a different couple's story. I liked it but unfortunately didn't love it but I do love Ben as he's quite the character.

The characters are very one-dimentional in both there personalities and also the interactions between them also felt surface level there's no heart to this and I felt little connection to anything here. I hate leaving low ratings but this one just missed the mark completely and it looks like it's a long book so that's me out. I also noticed after I decided to not finish this that this is actually the second book I've tried from this author. I didn't realise until now and I also had an identical reaction to that one as well so it looks like this author is not one for me....more

An enjoyable read this is a paranormal romance involving all sorts of otherworldly creatures. We have dragons vampires wolf shifters and many more. The world set up here was intriguing and I'm definitely a sucker for anything involving dragon shifters. Kasia is a mythical believed extinct phoenix she has been in hiding with her mother and sisters for many years. When her mother is murdered by the very dragon that also killed her father with her dying breaths she acts out her contingency plan transfering her powers and sending her four daughters into hiding all separately. A year later Kasia is having full-body migraines which brings her out of seclusion and places her in danger of discovery.
Brand is a former gold royal dragon he is clanless now and rogue since his family were all killed at the hands of the unsurper gold king Uther he lives for his revenge and Kasia might just be the key to achieving this. Escorting her to safety and into the hands of his ally the blue dragon king who is currently at war with Kasia's main adversary Pytheios. Brand fights his attraction telling himself she is not for him to mate and to disregard this edict means letting go of all of his goals something he has no plans to do.
As the two travel together with constant danger directly on their heels it's inevitable that they grow closer. But there is so much more at stake here than their own personal longings Kasia is the key to power and everyone wants to possess the phoenix for one reason or another.
This was an easy read and Brand and Kasia had intense chemistry together. This also had an interesting plot and I'm looking forward to discovering more going forward. Each book in this series focuses on a different sister so they are all standalone romances with an ongoing story arc. I found this well-written and am planning on continuing this series.
