Here Tiger Jonas and co realise the corruption and danger is far worse and reaches wider than they could ever have imagined. They are now hell bent on stopping the threat that puts everyone in danger.
This was an easy read that certainly kept me entertained and on my toes. Tiger and Jonas have become a deadly team and now that they have trust in each other also a force to be reckoned with.
There are some truly heartbreaking moments and some very tense situations. We finally arrive at the critical point we've been heading towards throughout the trilogy achieving our objective and this managed to conclude leaving me satisfied with where we'd arrived at.
This series is well written and a rollercoaster of a ride. I've loved Tiger and Jonas throughout this they do make a charismatic team. I've enjoyed every moment and have no issue giving it my seal of approval....more

The world building here is phenomenal and probably I really enjoyed this second book and once again I was swept away into this rich futuristic world. The world building here is phenomenal and probably the strongest thing about this series. This a plot driven not a romance so felt very different from my usual fare. Our protagonist Tiger uses all of her assets to forward her agenda which means falling back on all of her old Lure training in seduction warfare, she's determined to save the children and if she also enjoys her work that only an added bonus.
Tiger is a strong capable character, she's determined and single minded and her loyalty once earned is ingrained deep. It was also refreshing to see that she knows her limits and though pushes them to the max isn't sentimental when push comes to shove.
I also appreciated the growth that came in regards to her complicated relationship with Jonas a burgeoning trust is developing and it was also refreshing that she was able to save herself but was willing to accept his help as backup. I'm also excited that we have some movement on the attraction between them just an acknowledgement of it but it's progress for sure.
That finale though was absolutely mental and I was on the edge of my seat throughout what a finish. I'm now incredibly excited going into the home straight. Can't recommend this series enough and I'm enjoying reading this trilogy a lot....more

This author has managedA futuristic fantasy read that had me in a chokehold almost instantly. This was so good and the world-building was incredible. This author has managed to create a reality that felt authentically real with such attention to detail. There a new to me author but got to say based on this first book I'm impressed and can't wait now to delve into book two and continue the story.
It's set in a futuristic world many years after a war took place. Our protagonist is Tiger a genetically engineered humanoid super soldier. Initially created to even the odds between the Humans and shifters. Dechets as they called were the enslaved cannon-fodder. Used by the humans, hated and named monsters by the shifters all were thought eradicated after the war.
Tiger resides in the old underground bunker and facility at the edge of Central. Mostly isolated and hidden here along with her ghosts. These companions are the dechet children that were in her care and were murdered horrifically when the base was targeted by the shifters at the cease of the war.
Rescuing a Shifter male and his young niece from roaming vampires pulls Tiger into a situation she wants no part of and could even place her in direct danger If they manage to discover just what she's hiding and what she is it's game over. Jonas and his niece Penny bring with them a whole heap of trouble.
We follow our protagonist Tiger who is a mix of human, shifter and vampire. A lure made to entice and infiltrate rather than a soldier she has some interesting talents. As an individual she's very likable, she's also has a strong moral compass. She's especially attached and protective towards her ghost little ones that she regards as her children and is a fierce mama bear to anything that threatens them.
Don't go into this expecting romance. I can definitely see something maybe developing between Tiger and Jonas going forward as there's a definite attraction but for the most part this is Tigers story so the focus is on her so any romance if it happens going forward I'd imagine would be more of a sub-plot.
What we do have is plenty of action, mistrust, betrayal. There are shifters and vampires and a mystery to unravel involving missing shifter children. There's also some sexy bits as Tigers way of getting information involves seduction and stealth as well as her stellar fighting capabilities. This one really was non-stop and I wasn't once bored. I'm now incredibly excited to see where we go next especially with that dramatic finish and I don't blame Tig one bit for having enough....more

3.5 Stars Another good edition to the series and though this series is somewhat predictable it is also intriguing and an easy read. The simplistic formula just seems to work and it isn’t too taxing on my brain making it extremely enjoyable.
We get more Eve and Rourke who I’m loving by the way I’m also liking the recurring characters. I’m transfixed by the current stalemate between Eve and Summerset somethings got to give there and every story invests me more. One critique though and this did irritate me a tad is the way this seemed to abruptly cut off at the finish and I’ve noticed this may be a pattern I also didn’t find the mystery with this one as compelling as previous books other than that though all is good.
I do recommend this series and I find it makes an excellent palette cleanser for me between more intense reads. There are also a fair few books in the series as a whole so will also definitely keep me going for a while.

Another winner, here Eve Dallas is once again thrown headfirst into another intriguing case one in which prominent women across the city are being targeted by an unknown assailant and It’s up to Eve to do what she does best catch a killer.
This was as expected well written and an easy read. Though this is an older book set in a futuristic future it’s worn well and still works. Eve and Rourke are such intriguing characters and I adored exploring them here as an evolving couple as they attempt to traverse slight stumbling blocks in their ongoing relationship.
Be aware though this series is predominantly a police crime procedural sprinkled with some romantic interludes. I’m definitely hooked now though and planning to continue on.

A really enjoyable read it easily managed to keep my attention and I’m definitely planning on continuing on with this series. First published in 1995 this is one that’s aged well. The premise is well constructed set in the future time of 2058 this focuses on Eve Dallas a New York cop investigating a series of murders of licensed sex workers called companions.
This then brings her into direct contact with Roarke he’s a billionaire businessman whose name keeps being connected with the case that she’s currently investigating. Eve finds herself experiencing major conflict between her professional and personal lives as she finds herself drawn towards the elusive and addicting male even knowing it could in fact compromise the case at hand.
I’m certainly now intrigued to see them grow as a pairing in future books and I did like them both as characters. I found this to be an interesting and easy read it’s definitely more action and mystery focused and the case does take centre stage here but I also loved the fact there was a developing romance as an additional background focus and I was equally engaged with both aspects of this. I definitely recommend this it had such an intriguing storyline and though I did guess who the baddie was I still appreciated this a whole lot.

This was quite the surprise I really enjoyed it. It’s the first thing I’ve read by this author and what I especially liked was the attention to detail. I’d describe this as a sci-fi futuristic action romance. It’s heavy on the sci-fi and action but was also equally satisfying on the romance front. It struck just the right balance between the two and the intimate scenes here were scorching in their intensity. These two had so much chemistry it literally projected off the page and the sex had such a gritty raw realistic feel to it that seemed so incredibly authenticate in its realism. I also adored the dynamic between Snow and his kitten and their interactions together were a mixed bag of incredibly sweet to pure carnal lust it swung that drastically it also had some elements of power exchange and it was all so very satisfying.
There was also a lot of action in this Snow is a highly trained ghost who is living his life under the radar and using an assumed name. His old persona is dead and buried and considering his background he intends to keep it that way. Whilst Kez is a black market runner known for her abilities to deliver the package. When she enlists Snow's aid as a pilot for a job he is instantly intrigued by her and when it also emerges that Kez has in fact been watching him without his knowledge he’s initially flattered by her obsessive interest.
But being in Kez’s world puts Snow firmly back under scrutiny a fact that he’s surprisingly unbothered by and as the danger surrounding them thickens Snow is determined to keep the girl who has become his one in a million safe at all costs even if that means he must sacrifice himself.
I liked how strong a female Kez was she was so capable in her abilities but also so vulnerable emotionally and Snow recognised this and matched his actions accordingly. He proved by action and word that she had nothing to worry about that they were totally solid recognising her insecurities. I liked how protective he was whilst still also respecting her abilities and not trying to cage her in any way. There were also no dramatics and stupid drama these two were adults and acted accordingly.
This was very engaging and felt so fresh it had a fast-paced edge of your seat appeal it’s all written from Snow's POV which I found incredibly refreshing and also unusual but I adored getting a totally male perspective for a change and being inside Snow's head was enlightening, to say the least. His thought process was fascinating to me.
This was very well written and i definitely recommend reading even if Sci-fi is not your usual genre. I rated this a four mainly because of some particular inner musings by Snow regarding Kez's sister that I just wasn’t on board with I thought it wasn’t needed and added little to the story and it was also a bit bizarre and also the heavy sci-fi vibe as there were times I did get a bit confused by all of the technology and explanations given but there was still enough of the romance here to satisfy me and man these two manage to dial up that heat and together they really were bloody dynamite.

So incredibly unique and very imaginative this is a sci-fi retelling of Alice in Wonderland and I bloody adored it. It was just so immersive and terribly clever in its execution such a surreal trip of creativity that totally worked. I’ve never experienced an Alice in wonderland retelling or at least I don’t think I have. I’ve read so many stories It’s entirely possible It’s slipped my mind. No matter this one is definitely going to stick as it was such a well-written entertaining endeavour.
Alice finds herself committed to the Liddell psychiatric hospital after inheriting her father's estate. Her greedy relatives contrive to remove her from the equation and this corrupt facility hides secrets behind its government-approved doors. Now asleep and trapped in a simulation Alice awakens to Wonderland a place where everything is upside down turned around and totally surreal.
This had all of the inhabitants you would expect other patients also trapped and unaware that this reality isn’t real. We have the hatter and a red king who is the antagonist of the story. It’s also here she makes the acquaintance of Shadow who follows a different set of rules, he’s a glitch a ghost able to appear and disappear at will, slightly unhinged an adorable sarcastic fruitcake and he loves to play games, especially with the other inhabitants of wonderland. Shadow a feline-type alien in the vein of the Cheshire Cat (yes this world has aliens) was such an enticing character.
Now all Alice needs to do is convince Shadow that reality isn’t real, defeat the red king, wake up from this waking dream and hopefully escape this alternate reality. Shadow during this is her constant protective guide and Alice is falling deep under his spell.
This was imaginative unique and so much fun. I adored the dynamic between Alice and Shadow and they were adorable in all of their banter together. The intimate scenes were hot and this had plenty of chemistry. I definitely recommend this if you're looking for something different as this is sure to hit the spot. I Love this author team and their books consistently deliver the goods every single time.
