Ok, I really thought Ms Elsie would pull me out of my slump but genuinely not sure what will at this point! I did really enjoy Billie and Vaughn but it doesn't match up with Chestnut Springs yet. I do feel like I've read Cole and Violet's story....more

And just like that the Bergman Brothers' series comes to a close! I love and adore this series, the family, the friendships, the relationships, it's all messy, and perfect. From the Bergman Brother Summits, to the girls gathering, to the kids now in these latter books. I'm in love.
This one has to be up in there in my favourites, although nothing will be better than 2,3 or 4 in my opinion, those are just my faves!
But the roommates situation, the mmc being an avid romance reader and bookstore owner and the fmc being a thriller/mystery writer who doesn't believe in love! And the representation, Chloe Liese, does it every time and does it so well. The understated representation, it doesn't overtake the story because it's not what the character is, it's a part of who they are. And the acts of service that that brought along with it had me swooning!!
Nonetheless, I'm sad to say goodbye to this world (and oh boy, how bad do I want the Afterlight editions of this series but I'll settle on collecting the US covers because they are so much prettier)...more
Sara Cate does it again, I swear she can literally do no wrong! This series blew me away from book 1 (being in my top 10 books of 2023) and thi4.5 / 5
Sara Cate does it again, I swear she can literally do no wrong! This series blew me away from book 1 (being in my top 10 books of 2023) and this series just continues to impress. I read book 2 last week and when I saw the tropes I knew I needed this book in my hands the second it came out.
It was so good. The forbidden. The connection. The spice. Oh god. I loved it all. Sara Cate writes such well crafted spicy romances, the spice is intentional and it has a purpose and it's not the same scene every time just in a different location. One my favourite spicy micro-tropes is using a s*x t*y in public but the mmc has the remote control, like holy hell those scenes are so freaking good.
I fell in love with Sadie and Lucas, they were so freaking sweet and I genuinely loved watching their connection develop and the tension is just built with every moment.
Bring on The Prodigal Son because what a fitting title, I'm so ready for Isaac it's not funny.
Again like the first book, I absolutely love what this series is doing with the representation, the issues it discusses. I freaking love Caleb4.25 / 5
Again like the first book, I absolutely love what this series is doing with the representation, the issues it discusses. I freaking love Caleb, Briar and Dean, holy heck were they hot together. I love how much they fought for each other and I love how easily they accepted what it was in the end. It make have taken some time to get there but the journey was bittersweet and perfect.
This book again had spice that was meaningful, it had a purpose and I'm beginning to think books like this are my favourite.
This series is stacking up to be so freaking good and I cannot wait for Lucas' book in 5 days and then The Prodigal Son (and we all know who that's about and I can't freaking wait!!!!)
Sara Cate and The Goode Brothers series can do no wrong!...more
This was a cute small town, second chance romance! Not my fave but like definitely points for the cover because she is stunning. I just wasn't 3.5 / 5

I am and always will be a proud member of the pregnancy trope lover club and this book was no exception. I really enjoyed it. Shep was a dream an4 / 5
I am and always will be a proud member of the pregnancy trope lover club and this book was no exception. I really enjoyed it. Shep was a dream and Ethan got there in the end. I wish things were more resolved with Willa but I know that's life and your best friends will always be there.
I think what I love about this book, is how goddamn real it felt. The problems, the world, it all felt so real. Even the conversations, it was so mundane but I loved that about it.
And Shep holy heck that man, swept Evie of her feet and showed her a love she couldn't look past.
I really enjoyed this, it was the perfect in-between book, I mainly read it though in time for book three because it has one of my favourite tr3.5 / 5
I really enjoyed this, it was the perfect in-between book, I mainly read it though in time for book three because it has one of my favourite tropes. This one didn't have some of my favourite tropes but that's a me issue not the book's fault, but the way these tropes were told so well so I really enjoyed that aspect of that.
I love the 'marriage in trouble' trope and Chloe Liese definitely pulled at the heart strings with this one. She's writes such deep and intent4.75 / 5
I love the 'marriage in trouble' trope and Chloe Liese definitely pulled at the heart strings with this one. She's writes such deep and intentional romances and this one was like no other. I fell for Freya and Aiden from the first page.
I love slowly making my way through this series, like I can come back to it at any time and feel at home. It's exactly how I feel every time I read one of these books.
Bring on Rooney & Axel, whenever I decide to pick their story up!...more
