I must admit that although this book provided some amazing reveals, it was not one of my top books in this series.
Toby discovers that she must find her missing “lost” stepfather, Simon, or she cannot marry Tybalt without causing all kinds of mayhem and insults in Fae world. Toby and her crew, less Tybalt, stumbled their way through perils trying to find Simon.
The Saltmist leaders just pissed me off, I had a hard time justifying their choices. And, who knew marriage and divorce could be so eventful. During their adventures, Toby makes some very shocking revelations! Which will turn the Fae World upside down.
Ultimately, I enjoyed A Killing Frost but did not find myself spellbound by this storyline as I normally am when reading an October Daye tale. It is fun, fast paced, and had one heck of an ending that left you imagining what might come next.

That Ain’t Witchcraft is one of those white knuckle, packed full of everything you’ve been waiting to find out, McGuire reads! Fergus Ferguson is tasked with retrieving a sentient space craft that was stolen from its creators and he finds himself thrust into a space war that only a mastermind could possibly survive.
Lets just say nothing goes as planned by Fergus finds some amazingly loyal companions and some major life lessons along the way.
Like I said earlier, the plot was nothing like I expected but I really enjoyed Palmer's storytelling. I found myself anxiously looking for more clues as we route for Fergus and his friends that he makes along the way.

Nothing like jumping into a series at the very last book, but that is exactly what I did with Heroine’s Journey. For most series, that would be disastrous, BUT for Heroine Complex, jumping in at Heroine’s Journey just made me want to one click the first two book in this series immediately! To say I enjoyed it would be an understatement.
I found Heroine’s Journey to be bundle of snarky, quirky, action intense FUN! Don’t get me wrong, for all that fun to work Kuhn rocked character development, strong world building and plot and also heartfelt moments that instantly connected and engaged me, the reader. My only regret was not seizing this series from the start. I highly recommend this gem of a read and series.

They are adjusting to the displacement the fire caused and the tensions put them from their new situations.
Someone has also been buying up the property left after the raging fire. Giving the team one more thing to uncover. And that is just what they do, imbedding themselves in positions to find out the truth behind the loss of Holver Alley.
Verci’s wife is against his involvement, but he is not going to let his brother Asti face the upcoming danger alone.
The team dynamics are quite interesting with a wide and diverse group of characters all ultimately facing similar circumstances and goals.
This was a 4 star read for me. It is definitely not a stand alone and if you missed the first book in the series you will be in the same shoes, I was in, playing some serious catch up.
Once I got past playing catch up and trying to understand the whos and whys of what was going on, I discovered a fun, highly entertaining and easy following but gritty tale that incorporates an epic fantasy feel. My recommendation, start with book 1 and your sure to find a series to devour.

He Daffy’s life implodes from the inside out when she finds out that her husband has been cheating on her when he is supposed to be away on business. He doesn’t even have the career she thought he had. To top it off, his career is as part of a magical policing organization, the International Guild of Wizards. Yes, magic does exist Daffy and it's closer than you think… Because she soon finds out that her entire family, including her children, are magical. If that wasn’t enough to deal with Daffy has had magic too and her husband knew it but kept her ignorant, never having the opportunity to train, leaving her open to all types of magical mayhem.
This is Daffy’s story, the story of self-discovering into a magical world that coincides with everyday life…until you get caught up in a plot of revenge and hate that could rip away everything and everyone she holds dear.
The storytelling was amazing, but I did have a bit of a problem with the persistence of infidelity and then relating to the characters after their decisions and nonchalance about the cheating. It made the relationship unbelievable, it was either upsetting enough to break up a marriage or not and it seems it went both ways which didn't work.
I was invested in the outcome and truly wanted to know how it would all work out. In the end I give A Spoonful of Magic 4 stars.

I, absolutely, loved it. I had to put out the do not disturb signs out around myself. This was a read into the wee-hours of the morning book for me... So, be warned, you may not be able to put this book down once you start!
If that wasn't icing on the cake then lets top if off with a marvelous novella, Hope is Swift set in the October Day world. It takes place at exactly the same time as The Unkindest Tide but focuses on Raj and Cait Sidhe that were left back on shore. Another fantastic adventure to devour.

Toby finds herself in a precarious situation and the people that she has learned to depend on the most have been taken. She must depend on her own wits while leaning on the one person she should never trust.
And it all comes down to family…Amandine, Toby’s mother finally shows herself and for Toby this is not a good thing.
To put it frankly, I can’t say much more about the plot of this book without giving away a spoiler. Yes, it is that pack full of life altering changes. I can say that The Brightest Fell was one heck of an adventure and should not be missed.
