HEA(?): Yes you get one, but as a whole Ken & Van should’ve gotten a better focus just being officially together in the end. If that had happened, honestly my rating might’ve been a bit higher. Relationship Type: MF Heat: 3-3.5/5, I was a bit shocked at how bored I was. Romance: 3.5-4/5 Dark(?): Not to me, no. I was confused a bit when people kept saying it’s a dark read but it’s really not. But then again it may be darker for others. Drama: 4/5, so…high drama yes but also no? Does off page drama really count? It really doesn’t to me, quite a bit of off page scenes could’ve been added easily, the book should’ve been edited a bit better. You feel like you’re missing too much. Suspense: 2.5/5, weirdly it’s not suspenseful cause you could pretty much predict from the very beginning on how this book was going to go. Pacing: It is Fast, almost too rushed.
I honestly don’t want to heavily spoil, so I’ll be vague as possible. So, this was an interesting read, honestly I’m not entirely sure what to think. I liked it especially the reincarnation/soulmate aspect (I’m a sucker for those in stories) but the book itself dragged so much on the weirdest things but things you wanted to see it’s either past tensed or off page entirely which just blows cause I wanted to see it. The book itself reads a bit fast and right at the 50-60% mark the book gets so freaking good and then it’s over. There so much that isn’t focused on properly that to me Kendall & Van didn’t really get a book(?), hopefully that makes sense. When their finally together it’s comes off as a Blip focus at the end and a squished HEA. This could’ve been such a powerful and thought provoking read in its own way, but it just wasn’t well thought out completely....more
Heat: While the scenes were really good 3.5-4/5, It’s weird to say this but there was too many Heat scenes (Crazy right?!) Sadly it’s true, despite the fact that if the book had been written and arranged properly my opinion would be 100% different and more positive, but after the Body Betrayal scenes, I was over the Heat scenes.
Romance: It was annoying to me, especially the ‘I Love You’ can be thrown around so easily. I’m just going to give this a Stamped Romance, you got the romance even if you weren’t fully satisfied. Pacing: F.A.S.T. Dark(?): Not (to me) No, but it may be for others. Drama & Suspense: I almost ‘Can’t Even’ with this, LOTS - 95% of the book is Drama and ‘Suspense’ but don’t you worry everything that’ll come to realization is typically crammed at the end. I really don’t want to rate this cause I’m just so disappointed at how it’s all timed/mashed coincidentally. This Book should’ve been longer or a DUET, but Most Importantly nearly everything needed to be in Chronological Order. To make it impactful, and the ending well deserved. This story would’ve been SO FREAKING GOOD if it had been Fleshed Out properly and thoroughly.
Sadly My take away: Common Sense is Lacking Everywhere.
This Book suffers very badly, it’s not handled well at all with things not starting from the actual beginning, I would’ve enjoyed it much more. You’re deprived of emotional ties. And where it’s at now, I could just shrug off characters cause I wasn’t allowed/was prevented from bonding to characters and going through the emotional betrayal. The Flash Backs just didn’t do much to the story or just Moments that were intentionally cut off to be revealed in full later - it’s too much, since you never got the ‘in the moment’ moments, what’s the point in having it in the book. Grace and Luciano were not together that long at all, apparently. So I just don’t understand why it wasn’t just all present.
Mainly overall I’m just disappointed at how Grace essentially submitted so easily mainly to sexual persuasion, especially later on. This is definitely a ‘My Treacherous Body/Body Betrayal’ trope. -I Usually don’t mind these reads, but oh boy that should definitely NOT be in this book...more

If your a Darkverse Reader (Like Me), and you’re wanting to read Lite(Sweet)verse: Just a Heads up Dynamics in Relationships or Overall ‘Natural’ Behavior can or tend to be much different from Darkverse.
The book is more Plot focused rather than Spice, I did enjoy that cause I wanted to keep reading.
HEA(?): Yes. Relationship Type: RH>Reverse Harem: MMMMFM, while this what is written in the book. I actually had more of a MMMFMM vibe. In the end I still didn’t really get the dynamic of the pack, it’s Extremely Unbalanced. There should’ve been more POVs as well. M/M(?): Yes Heat: 3.5/5, Scenes you WANT to read so bad are mainly talked about, is a thought or past-tensed. Overall not as much heat as your expecting, and it’s actually disappointing in a weird way because your amped up so much and then when the pack is at its best the books over. A few scenes you hoped for to get don’t happen, don’t happen the way you’re hoping they’d go and they come off as fillers or it just wasn’t handled right. Romance: 2.5-3/5, if we’re just talking about Thorn and -Not- the Already Established Pack. The development just didn’t seem right, it has a weird insta-ish vibe in a way. It kinda seemed forced. Pacing: Slow Mid then Mid Fast Drama: 4-4.5/5 Suspense: 3.5/5 Dark(?): No. Going into Heat(?): Does Occur in Universe, but Not in Book. And I wish it had either Thorn or Her and Marlowe at the same time. Cause something was mentioned in the beginning that made you THINK this was going to end up happening and sadly it didn’t. Slick(?): Does Occur Knotting: Does Occur Nesting: Does Occur in Universe and is talked about, But No Obsessive Behavioral Signs in Book. Biting: Not in Book, But has been Mentioned in Past Tense. Mate Marking(?): Does Occur, I weirdly found the whole Mare Marking confusing in this, needed more explanation. Group Heat Scenes(?, if RH): Yes (1 technically is a group), it’s 5 of 6 members, and shockingly I didn’t enjoy it as much as I was expecting too, the dynamics were really off for me, it felt like filler, and Quentin (Beta) having so much say, it made the other Alpha’s more submissive. I was expecting Alpha Dominance during it and got more submission. -There is also an MFM scene, again Technically cause it is female focused despite the actual dynamic being MMF in this relationship.
Alpha Dominance and/or Aggression(?): The Alphas are Mostly Soft Natured Overall and some have submissive behaviors, even towards Omegas. -They do Establish Dominance & Aggression but it’s with flares of ‘Aura’ mainly. The Dominance & Aggression to me just wasn’t what it should’ve been. What Denzel did, should’ve been fixed immediately knowing his decision was a bad idea but the other two Alphas didn’t do a thing. That made it hard to enjoy all 3 Alphas because two of them KNEW it was wrong and furthered unnecessary suffering. Omega Submissive Behavior(?): To me, neither are actually submissive in the truest sense, and you don’t get to see it. And the spicy time submission IS NOT True Omega Submissive Behavior, it was more in human sub with human Dom type. That is 2 different things, plain and simple. Male Omega(?): Yes Male Omega Heat(?): Does Occur in Universe but Not Within Book. MPreg(?): Does Not Exist in this Universe.
Is there a Beta in the Pack(?): Yes (1) and he seems more Dominant than the Alphas.
Cause I didn’t read previous books about this universe or have a in-depth backstory to this universe in the beginning, it’s confusing to understand the Gold Packs and how this universe really works.
There’s too much in this book and a lot of it wasn’t focused on properly or just seemed glossed over or disappeared. Also I feel like there’s a huge part of the story is missing, the guys should have a book and then Thorn introduced in ‘Book 2’, there so much that needs more in-depth explanation but you have to act like you understand why certain decisions were made and how their relationship started.
Thorn (to me) just didn’t seem to fit this pack as much as I had hoped. Her persona to me changed Mid way, she went from negative view to positive view of her pack after Mid Way, and it just didn’t flow right, overall you just don’t get a full taste of her character. I know more about Marlowe (Which Mind you, I Loved SOOOO Much) than anything about Thorn. Hence as to why the guys should’ve had a full book onto themselves and then when you get to Book 2 you don’t need to fill it so much with their path and actually focus on Thorn a bit more cause she has a past two that should’ve gotten a proper focus rather than it being glossed over even after her capture.
I feel like all the characters were deprived of Proper Attention. This Book would’ve been so freaking good if there had been a Book 1 & Book 2....more

I needed something to listen to, so I could find something that I could really focus on. And once I started listening to this I just kept listening, but I honestly wanted to stop listening cause it was boring but I just couldn’t, I wanted to listen to it to the end. This is a very short ‘time wise’ story, no actual development between them, just more heat than plot. Good Sorry but to me neither character fit each other, Zak deserved better (this IS Zak’s book, hence the name on the cover) and Sophie just felt like a filler character and was exceptionally boring. Sophie seemed to me a more important character over Zak, which just didn’t work for me.

I’ve seen this book being rec’d a lot, and I gotta say I’m not actually impressed. Please understand, I have Not read the previous books in this series. This is the last book of the series, and it’s can be read on its own, BUT because I have not read the previous books I also don’t know the side characters well and they completely took over (mainly the women, were too much. These side characters all have their own books before this one.) and drowned Sed & Jamie’s storyline, and in some areas to the point of near annoyance. But the main thing I didn’t like was the fact that Sedona and Jamison’s storyline is actually quite simple & small within this book and on top of that it’s at a brisk/rushing pace, and at times there seems to be a disconnect, there are scenes or updates that should’ve been written in the book but you’re left wondering how some things went. The flashbacks seemed fillerish, they should’ve been in the beginning of the book so it made you really feel her and their pain, something to wrench your heart as you read. Their ending was just slapped together and called an HEA, I was expecting Palmer to make quite an impact and she kinda seemed to be thrown to the side further in, in order to make way for previous characters ‘updates’ within the story. When I reached the ending in this book, I actually thought I was missing pages (but I wasn’t), the ending was astonishingly lackluster and I wasn’t expecting it to end so soon. There really wasn’t that much development to be honest, this is one of the fastest second-chance reads I’ve read and this is the exact reason why I’m not known to favor them nor read them as much....more
HEA(?): Yes, it comes off as abrupt though, it’s nearly what I’d call a Stamped Ending. Pacing: a weird mash of slow but fast pacing. The narrator reads a little too slowly, but I also think the storyline overall hindered his narrator. It’s actually quite short, stiff and compacted for a storyline, plus emotions didn’t come through quite as strongly, especially for it being 1 POV. Technically(?) it has a cliffhanger, but it is a plot cliffhanger for the next pairing to pick up.
Relationship Type: MF Romance: 3.5-4/5 Heat: The first heat scene...it was going good..til the POV began to....go odd(?).. The Heat in the scene reads very distant(?), like your watching a movie in the theater and then you get that ONE person who decides to choose isle AND seat in front of you, and then on top of that they’re talking to loudly to their buddy next to them...so you now can’t really see what’s going on and now you’re only able to hear the conversation in front of you and not the actual movie.... so yeah...Angel’s thinking is way to prominent that it severely takes away the heat & intimacy of the scene. It felt like the scene was verbally...‘blurred’ and kinda separated(?), like the heat of the scene was in a way censored..? As a whole the heat in the book was subpar, primarily due to the thinking/internal dialogue during the scenes that it caused it to suffered. 2.5-3/5 Drama: 3.5-4/5 Suspense: 3.5-4/5 Pacing: the Pacing isn’t too bad, but the scenes farther into the book seems to get shorter and shorter and shorter, that I was losing interest cause even though it became drawn out near the end, it felt rushed yet slowed, and lots of detail seemed to be vague in the sense of information.
I went into this book eager and it isn’t too bad, but it just seemed to lack detail overall cause it was put in the wrong areas at times.

I’m familiar with this authors writing, and this just doesn’t meet her usual standard of writing. Cause this woman KNOWS how to write, the ones I’ve read prior to this were really good.
This is kind of the consequence of possibly feeling pressured to write in a genre that the author isn’t too familiar with. Yes you can technically write omegaverse the way you prefer, BUT at least make it understandable for the reader, it’s hard to understand this authors version of the universe, it comes off very jumbled and inconsistent. This book comes off rushed and should’ve been much longer or at least been written as a duet. I guess I got bit by the ‘Sample’ trap, read a bit before purchasing. The beginning was captivating than after that...everything seems confusing and compacted, convenient and all the characters overall seem not important, and the personalities seem different as well as not being consistent. And You don’t know any of them really , at all. This to me isn’t a good example of Omegaverse, if your wanting to start reading the genre.
HEA(?): I’ll list this as a Stamped HEA, it’s very abrupt and makes no sense as to why it ends ‘there’, and that’s not exactly satisfying. Relationship Type: RH> Reverse Harem: MMFM, but overall it honestly just didn’t feel real at all. It’s technically MMF, and at the end it’s MMFM. M/M(?): it is pretty lite, and comes across kinda of filler like. **** Heat : 2/5, omegaverse wise... just very inconsistent and not sound at some points. And they feel like fillers.
Knotting(?): Yes, but doesn’t really seem a big deal and was very disappointing/lackluster. Slick(?): No, (do males have slick(?) no) Nesting(?): It’s mentioned in this universe but that’s it. *(Do omega males nest or go into heat(?) no idea, no real answer) Going into Heat(?): Super confusing and does not occur in the book. Biting/Mate Marking(?): Yes, but overall the marks come off as important yet not really important(?). *** Dark(?): Dark..no? Not to me. 1.5-2/5 Drama: 2.5-3/5, it’s overall flat, there’s no real ‘body’ to the story, no build up. Suspense: this is a confusing one to answer actually, I’m not entirely sure. 3(?)/5 Pacing: it’s compacted, rushed, slow/filler like in some areas....more
Maxine Mitchell, I love the way she narrated men, it took me a while to like Embers voice though, I was expecting more inflection cause it comes of as impersonal sometimes.. Aiden Snow, love the way he voiced everyone very much, I just wish that in the end Asher had more POV to help stabilize the ending and so I could here his voice again. It’s very soothing.

Can this be read as a Standalone(?): This book is said that it can be read as a standalone, and I have NOT read the previous books that ONLY feature Asher & Ember. For the most part this book is a standalone.. But OVERALL it’s not.
I was hoping for their story to be much longer actually...cause this whole book IS a big deal, the concept is EXTREMELY important and yet in the end their reunion was extremely lackluster and seemed less focused on. This book should’ve been longer or a duet. In the end, I felt like this was a waste of time reading, which sucks cause 97% of this book was great, but that ending.....just didn’t feel convincing enough.
Wow, I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m gonna have to list this in my Stamped HEA, Stamped HEA is where you’re given an Happily Ever After whether you like it or not, even if the story seems cut off. Like the author wanted to pacify her Asher & Ember Fans rather than her newer readers.

The Ember >I< liked/preferred/grown to love aka New Ember..isn’t technically there anymore in the end...you’re stuck having to deal with the Old Ember in the end and you’re barely given a single chance to actually know ‘her’. It feels like a slap in the face actually, if I had read their books I most likely still wouldn’t be too thrilled either cause Old Ember seemed like a filler, and not important enough in the end weirdly...?
It was THAT rushed: Put Old Ember in what’s supposed to be New Ember’s HEA, rush everything up in the blink of an eye and call it a day.

You could see that it was supposed to be but that aspect fell short pretty much immediately.
The intro got my attention, and then at mid beginning (after the needle/injection scene) of the book it just lost my attention, I mean immediately it slowed to a crawl and it felt the the same scene was repeating in different ways. Then it suddenly picked up and then (for me) the rest of the story pretty much flatlined. The book to me was a jumble of plots that’s were not well thought out and were tossed around then were just callously sewed together. Then the ‘supposed’ dark book suddenly turned...weirdly... ‘heartwarmingly wholesome’.

HEA(?): Yep, but it strangely feels like a HFN. Stamped HEA(?): I Do Believe it’s was a Forced HEA, Yes. Romance: 3/5, I don’t know...kinda felt ‘rush-forced’? It just felt like they were forced to be together. Heat: 3ish/5, to me they just seem like words in a scene that also supposedly conveyed feeling, but to me as the reader I felt nothing. To me Jake in the end Tone down/Vanilla-fied himself in order to be with Kristi, even though she wants the more kinky stuff. Drama: 3/5, a lot of things were dragged out, yet was quickly resolved. A lot of different types of drama was stuffed into this book all the way to the end, that to me the HEA just felt unsatisfying, immediate and partially unbelievable. And A Lot of Details seemed to be forgotten or just left out. Suspense: 3/5, predictable yet easily resolved. Cheating Scale: 2.5/5 (5 being the worst), I dislike cheating books with a passion. But it wasn’t as bad as I was lead to believe with the warning, I mean it is, but again not as bad as I thought.
Not a good sense of time flow through the book, or where it needed to be ‘present’ it was fast forwarded. So any cutesy scenes your craving for the characters to have that you know would change your view of the story in a positive light, your not gonna get it. Cause evidently it’s not important. How Jake got over his supposed drug use, kinda have me raise an eyebrow. So he’s done with drugs at the snap of a finger? Noah honestly didn’t seem to be important, he was a minor side character and I found that sad, and the moment you’ve been anticipating for is was practically labeled not important. Jake & Noah time was super minimal. I gotta be Honest Kristi is such a walk over and very pitiful, and I was concerned with how she lived her life with Noah and it’s evident she never really tried hard to do anything, no motivation. Also at the Overall and the Ending to me it doesn’t paint a good picture for Kristi. The whole ‘Daddy-issue’ thing made me roll my eyes, and then how she decided to live her life before Jake came back was overly pitiful, there was no need for that as an add in. With all the drama in the story, Jake & Kristi’s relationship was minimal conversation wise and only sex became important. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed Kristi & Jake but the book itself made them not as important overall. To me it seemed like the Author didn’t want them to be together but gave them an HEA anyways, so I will list this as a stamped ending.
I sadly believe a divorce would be in their future....more

HEA(?): Yes, But it felt Rushed and Not entirely believable. Romance: 1.5/5 (when you break it down there isn’t much to go on) Heat: 2.5/5 (vaguely descriptive & fast) Drama: 3.5/5 Suspense: 3.5/5 Dark(?): Maybe to Some this is DARK, but it’s Dark Lite to me. The beginning I was hooked, but then the longer I read Sid wasn’t as bright as I thought she would be, and not really a bad-arse either. Lucifer: his time in the book overall was very small and to me weirdly seemed unimportant, when you finished reading and look back. I was honestly expecting him to be a bad-arse too, but in all seriousness he kinda isn’t and he’s very dramatic (and I believe that’s due to the author’s writing). I feel like this was a gender swap book, where Sid is female but acts manly, where Lucifer is male but strangely acts feminine. I’m Not a Fan of how the end was on fast forwards, and was jammed all together at the same time. The plot seemed to be to big to write and the end result was pieced together, also no real sense of time flow either. Also the side characters were focused on more, way too much Jeremiah and some obvious fillers, a lot of description has been left out in some areas too, and much of the stuff was repeated way too much. There just wasn’t enough Sid & Lucifer till nearly at the 93%, because at that point I was wondering (freaking out I might add), at how in the heck is a HEA going to happen? Will Sid Die? Will there be a book 2 for them? Is this a Duet? I’m also not a fan of another character telling another characters story, there was no need for that. Sid could’ve taken the time to actually get to know Lucifer, so to me the HEA just seemed very forced. I will list this as a Stamped HEA, and I Will Not List this in my Dark categories.

Reverse Harem: MMFMM
Well this book definitely felt rushed from the very beginning, and I read this book pretty dang quick that it actually surprised me. Overall a good read, I wasn’t to happy about how much went unanswered and it was obvious that the book just NEEDED to be wrapped up and stamped with a HEA. The characters just didn’t seem important anymore the closer I got to the end (that been includes Briar), it was a bit muddled in my opinion and won’t deny their POV’s were half arsed. The only one in the end that seemed to matter was Flynn. I particularly didn’t find this dark so that’s why (MY) rating for it was low, but others might think it’s darker for them. I’d say this is Dark Lite, again that is my interpretation. This Bully genre seemed to just be tossed in the trash and also needed to be quickly resolved. The Plot for this book needed to be extremely in-depth, but this is one of those books that idea was great and could be a winner but the writing didn’t live up to expectation. Cause something so big like this Plot shouldn’t have been crammed into something so small as one book, it should’ve been a series.
Do I Recommend?: Well if your new to Reverse harem and/or Bully Romances, I have to admit that this particular book won’t really make you eager for more.

Man...*cracks knuckles & neck* I Haven’t written a Review like this in Ages.. Let’s get started..
I will start with how much hype this book got, I Saw iMan...*cracks knuckles & neck* I Haven’t written a Review like this in Ages.. Let’s get started..
I will start with how much hype this book got, I Saw it Everywhere. When I saw this Book was Live I wanted to 1-Click this book So bad, but something told me to just wait, a few days later I saw an ARC was Available and I Jumped on it immediately, thinking I was so lucky(!).
I Find it Ironic the Repetitive word & Clearly ‘Meaningful’ word is Deception.
I would like to say that the Synopsis is Extremely Misleadingly, and I’m disgusted. So Therefore I feel like I was Deceived.
This is ones of those books that you judge based on the Cover & Synopsis, the cover looked scrumptious yet what was inside was so far...dry and bland I kinda got the impression..like this Book was supposed to feel...strong & dramatic...it just felt cheesy.
Overall feeling of the Book: SnoozeFest, and it was like a slow tennis matching that just felt like it took hours. Drawn out & Annoyingly Simple. Felt like I was reading Teen Fiction. Well because of this book I will be adding a new category in my rating list or maybe just for this book, we’ll see. Book Concept Rating: 1.5/5, When your closing the book you shouldn’t be left feeling like...wow...the big deal was over something so..ridiculously petty?! I went into this book thinking this was going to be Amazing, due to the reviews and synopsis, but it didn’t at all live up to my expectations.
HEA(?): Yup..............Congraaaats... Dark(?): Absolutely Not & What as Shame. Heat: 2/5 Romance: Pish Posh. I’m Just Gonna Roll My Eyes & Skip This If You Don’t Mind. Drama: -No Rating- Oh There’s Drama but I’m not gonna rate it, just another eye roll. Suspense: Sure...3/5, some I didn’t see coming... due to the fact that I thought it was gonna be Deeper not so Simplistic.
I was actually liking the feel of the Role Reversal between them, but even that seems to lackluster. I just never felt a spark between them, clearly it’s written there but..you as the reader should FEEL a/the connection between them, and for me it just was lifeless.
Ren’s BETRAYAL & Secret?! - Oh Come on it’s Pathetic. That Wedding Ring...Unbelievable. Domiano’s Crueler?! - What a load of Crock.
When I Read a Book the Character I (Personally) Need to Like more is the Female Character, that’s the one I need to ‘Click’ with, Honestly I just couldn’t like her at any point and I seriously tried, she is such a weak character.
Damiano was a pretty decent character, but even he felt like a side character. Like he wasn’t that important enough and I feel bad for the poor guy that he’s gotta be saddled with Ren.
I weirdly felt like Maman was a Bigger character that overshadowed the two Main Characters, and the whole Chess & Checkmate etc. terminology was just not as meaningful to me when it was so obvious throughout the book. That ‘Checkmate’ Moment should’ve been impactful, and should’ve left you ‘wowed’ cause you DIDN’T see it coming, but I saw it coming from a mile away.
All the Quotes before a chapter and mentioned through the book, just didn’t feel Impactful either, they just felt like wasted spaced.
I Guess they both were supposed to be strong powerful characters, but I just found them pitifully weak.
The Heat is Short, Minorly Descriptive, and Fast. Therefore bland to me. Also is had ‘Hours Later/Next Day’ feel to it also.
I Received this ARC from BookSprout.
I Give This Book a 2/5 Star Rating.

I Love Shibari, heck I love every style of Rope Bondage out there, I was so excited to read a romance book that focused primarily it. The writing form through half the beginning didn’t meet the usual writing style (to me) of the Author, I didn’t expect the blatantly awkward beginning, and the fact it seemed more like the Author was telling me what type of rope he used and what others use, how it can help people, it’s just seemed more like she’s writing a bdsm romance beginners guide to kinking up your life.
Rather than focusing on the characters themselves in the beginning to nearly 50% especially Cree, cause he just seemed to be talking AT Kas, and was actually talking to the reader...I didn’t like that, don’t treat the reader like a simpleton. One would hope a potential reader would’ve looked up Shibari first anyways. It would’ve flowed better if Kas saw or read something even in passing then she could’ve related, than having the ‘BDSM-Rope-Kink-Wiki’ talk with her. The Talking To the Reader, then the actual character to character convo nearly made me DNF this. After the 50% it got better as if the author got into a rhythm. The introduction to the characters was just too..easy and then the flood...It would’ve been better if it was snow, then being locked in would’ve been less ‘scary’ and then having sex would’ve been more understandable, but I guess people would list that as cliche.. The sex Honestly saved this book for me, otherwise I would’ve lowered the rating, I felt like I was reading a teens book by the way they talked at some points. I personally just didn’t care for Kas, to naive-vanilla-and a tad boring/eye rolling i guess, I just could not connect with her while I read the book. I wasn’t overly impressed by this book. That epilogue Also saved this book, I Enjoyed Casey’s POV, definitely looking forward to reading her book very much!...more

It was fast paced and slow paced at the sameThis book for me was a regret read, I wasn’t expecting it to be just thrown together and severely cliched. It was fast paced and slow paced at the same time, meaning it was a long dragging story with lots of no use fillers, and the important stuff is not seemingly important and pretty much gets quickly resolved. No actual depth to the story, flat characters and they still all were children in adult bodies, pretty much what you were expecting was exactly what you got, no surprises. I found Adam to be one of the most weakest male leads I’ve read in a long time, and when he finally grew some balls and stood up for Olivia and himself...I’m supposed to be impressed?! Olivia sadly I found to be a real airhead, she is supposed to be a strong character. But I just cannot get over all the stuff that seems to go over her head, and then she’s shocked(?!). I was expecting the ‘ordeal’ she went through on prom night to be traumatizing, but I found it just freaking laughable. A big deal over something so stupid?! Yet she still crushed on Adam after he blatantly didn’t do anything to help her, despite how much he liked her?! You don’t get actual answers to questions you really want answered, you only get the answers to stuff you should have already seen from the very beginning. The ending was just stamped to me. I wasn’t impressed with this read....more
