I think that the most fascinating aspect of this novel is how many interpretations it has. I have read some reviews just now. Some are quite amazing.

Although the story was not much my cup of tea (a horror) I admit, it was well written. It was neatly read too (here link to LibriVox). You can also see what people knew about science (medicine, biology, etc.) at the end of the XIX century. Moreover, I saw there a few interesting metaphors and messages, such as the concept of 'woman' - she was an innocent victim but, on the other hand, without her, Dracula would have not be defeat.
I agree with reviews who pointed out that the book is surprisingly better than most movie adaptations. Nonetheless, I agree too, that there were too many repetitions to enjoy it more....more
