Preventing health issues is great and wonderful, but there are a lot of reasons why someone could struggle to adjust their lifestyle to reflect these blue zones including finances, neurodiversity, and allergies.
Overall, the suggestions were excellent, but they were treated as the only way to be healthy. Anytime someone promotes a particular lifestyle as the only way that works, it's worth being curious and possibly even concerned about. ...more

Georgie and Aleisha worked together to break down not just why dieting doesn't work, but what you can do instead. Their entire philosophy revolves around helping you dial into your needs- body, mind, and soul.
This book is chock full of exercises, questions, journaling questions, and tons of other resources to help you peer into yourself to figure out where your gaps are in taking care of yourself. I was challenged, taught, and - most importantly - changed by the principles taught.
Though I'm still working on bringing the practices and skills taught in this book into my daily life, every moment that I replace a negative reaction with a positive one is a win that I didn't have before.
Read this book carefully and honestly - you'll be surprised by what you find....more
