I love this series to death so when I heard that the fourth book would focus on Quinn, I nearly pee-d my pants with excitement!
Quinn Hamilton works at Forbidden Nightclub, and is a back reciever on the college Football Team. If you are familiar with all of the characters, you will know that Quinn is the quiet one who more of an observer and a listener than the rest of his friends who are a pretty loud and outgoing bunch. He is shy and has little experience outside of the bad childhood that he so painfully went through before he left home for college.
Having only recently lost his virginity to 'Cora the Whora' he is now dating her and he is really happy to finally have a girlfriend who accepts him for who he is.
When Cora invites her best friend to escape her abusive father and move in with her, Zoey Blakeland jumps at the chance to leave home and move hundreds of miles away in order to not only attend college and move on in life, but to do Cora a huge favour that she must keep secret.
It's apparent from the get go that Cora is not the right woman for Quinn, and that quiet and shy Zoey is his perfect match. She has experienced pain like he has and they share an understanding that nobody else can even touch. They enjoy the same things, and have a lot in common but Quinn is a loyal boyfriend and he fights hard to quash his feelings for his girlfriends best friend. _ _ _ _
This is quite obviously a love triangle and it takes a long time for things to actually develop between the two main characters but I didn't mind this at all, I loved the slow build up of their friendship and watching them get to know each other.
Cora turns out to be the bitch from hell so I did not mind at all that Quinn was having thoughts about another girl whilst still dating her, he was very inexperienced and he truly though he was doing the right thing by standing by Cora, the first girl who ever took any notice of him and made him feel like a man.
I loved how Quinn became more confident once he had a woman who loved him for who he really was, he definitely grew as a man from the start to the end of the book and I loved that Zoey, although quiet and reserved at times, stuck up for herself and her loved ones when the need arose.
I normally don't really care much for past characters in series once their book is over, but with these guys I can't get enough. We got a lot of interaction with Mason & Reece, Noel & Aspen, Pick & Eva and also Ten, Asher & Caroline.
We also get a few chapters from Ten's POV - I am dying to read his book, I think he might turn out to be my favourite! A Perfect Ten releases March 30th.
This is Book 4 in the Forbidden Men series, It's probably best not to be read as a standalone due to all the past characters making their appearances, but you could if you really wanted to.

Emma Chase does it again! I loved this book and I am already gagging for the next 2 in this series which focuses on 3 defence attorneys, Stanton, Jake & Brent. Overruled is Stanton's story.
Stanton Shaw is a southern boy from Sunshine, Mississippi who is working in DC as a lawyer to make a good life for his girls, high school sweetheart Jenny and his daughter, Presley.
At Jenny's insistence, Stanton left them behind to pursue his career goals, and for 10 years they have had an arrangement that allows them to see other people, but when they are together they revert back to the friends and lovers that they always have been.
When Jenny drops the bombshell that she is getting married, Stanton is thrown off course and when his insists on going back home to claim his girl, he takes his co-worker, friend and current lover, Sofia with him.
"That girl's as stubborn as a whole pack of mules. You can help keep me calm - focused - just like we do in court."
Sofia is a striking Brazilian beauty, who Stanton is in awe of both inside and outside the courtroom and when she agrees to help him she is obviously deluding herself if she thinks that she isn't going to get hurt in the process. She is a tough and independent woman, but even the strongest of women can't keep the walls up for long when a sexy southern charmer infiltrates her defences.
When Stanton and Sofia come together, they are a scorching inferno of lust and longing and holy shit, it was HOT! _ _ _ _
I am a massive fan of the slow burn, where the hero is blind to the fact that he is in love. I adore watching it unfold, and if I'm honest this one hurt a bit, it was painful to see him blind for his love for Sofia and continue to try and win back the woman who he grew up with and with whom he shares a child with.
So many times, I wanted to punch him in the nuts. But saying that, all three of the characters were very likeable, even Jenny who you want to dislike but can't.
Emma Chase writes the male POV really well, and adds just the right amount of wit to balance out the angst. My only complaint was the ending! It felt rushed and maybe I'm being greedy but I wanted a bit more of Stanton & Sofia as a couple. Overall though, it was a solid read and I enjoyed every minute.
This is a standalone read, told in dual POV. The series continues with Jake's story in Sustained and Brent's story in Appealed.

This book was written for me. My heart was beating out of my chest by the time I got to the end of this book. I loved every minute of it!
Tatum O'Shea and Jameson Kane first have sex when she is dropping off some stuff for her sister. She is 18, a prim and proper girl who has Harvard and a Political career ahead of her. When her sisters boyfriend, Jameson, gets her drunk on champagne, they have a wild encounter that will change them both forever. This blurb will probably put some people off - cheating is a no no - but I love flawed characters and love to discover how an author can redeem such taboo behaviours.
7 years later, Tate is estranged from her family, working as a bartender among other things and living in the bad part of Boston. She has let loose, loves sex and is not ashamed. Whilst waitressing one night, she bumps into a familiar face who sets her body on fire and her heart racing.
"I like sex, I like having sex, I like being sexy. I like being single. I like being me, and fuck anyone who doesn't like it."
They have one thing in common - they like to play games and they love rough and abusive sex. This book was HOT, and Jameson was a huge BASTARD but you could just feel the emotions that he was trying not to show.
I loved that the author wasn't afraid to take the story in a direction that might not be popular, these two have an open relationship, which I hated, but it is fundamental to the story and for me it added to the emotion rather than made me feel angry about it.
This book just worked for me, I loved Tate and how she didn't care what people though of her, but was also the most caring and sweet friend and full of life. I loved her relationship with her best friend Ang, the porn star and I especially loved her relationship with Sanders, Jameson's assistant.
Jameson Kane was a true Bastard, but I loved him anyway. I don't know what this says about me...
"Fucking hell, Tate. I'm going to fuck you every night from now on, for as long as I can. Cunt. Whore. Fuck. Why are you so fucking good to me?"
Looking forward to seeing how Jameson redeems himself in the next installment. ...more

Janie is downsized, cheated★★★ 3.5 Stars ★★★
This was much more 'chick lit' than book 4, which I read prior to this one but I still really enjoyed it.
Janie is downsized, cheated on and homeless all in one day but every cloud has a silver lining and it's also the day she first speaks to 'Sir Handsome McHotpants' aka Quinn.
A great slow burning romance develops with nerdy Janie, who by the way is hilariously weird, and man of few words alpha Quinn.
Shaping up to be a really enjoyable series. ...more

I just love this series, Linda Kage writes the sweetest men. This, the third book is told in the same timeline as Professor, With Love and just after Price of a Kiss. It's recommended that you read the 2 preceding books as it's not really a stand alone, you'd get confused otherwise.
The prologue starts with a young Pick getting a premonition that a 'witch' shows him, she channels glimpses - he see's his future and it's a happy one, one that an unwanted Foster kid never imagined he'd have. Now, some people might not like this concept but curiosity kept me reading and I'm glad I did because the theme continues throughout the book and it really did work well.
Eva, a former spoilt bitch with a terrible secret is 7 months pregnant when she stumbles into Pick's life. What she discovers is that behind the tattoos and piercings is the most gentle, kind, generous and sweet man that ever existed. There's only one problem - he's married with a baby.
What I loved about this book was the slow build up, we did get a bit of rehashing of previous books but not enough to put me off. The characters were great and I loved the way Eva grew as a person, and how wonderful she was with the kids.
If you liked the first two, and the premonition thing doesn't bother you, then you'll love Pick & Eva. ...more

I can't even begin to tell you how I am feeling about this book, it literally blew my ever loving mind! I have purposefully avoided all spoilers and reviews as much as I can, and boy am I glad for that because the whole mystery and suspense element had me on the edge of my seat and I didn't want to put my kindle down for one single minute.
This is the story of Erika Fane, heiress to a jewellery fortune and a woman who has been in love with Michael Crist for as long as she can remember. Michael who treats her with disdain and contempt but for reasons she cannot fathom.
In the present nineteen year old Rika has decided she wants to stand on her own two feet away from the safety of her family. What she doesn't realise is, that she is moving towards a culmination of three years of planning and revenge that will push her to her limits in ways she never imagined.
"Run all you want, Little Monster, We're faster."
We are sent back to the past, three years prior to when she was only a sixteen year old girl, trying to work out where she fit in the world, and to the night she spent with the enigmatic 'Four Horsemen' who ruled their small town with the power of their rich families behind them and the prestige of being star high school jocks, that were now at college and back for 'Devils night' to cause a little havoc.
We slowly find out why she was so hated by the one person she felt safe with.
As you may have gathered from my past reviews, I just love it when the hero hates his heroine, but what I loved most about this one, is the way he hated on her - playing mind games, scaring her, pushing her to her limits and ultimately, pushing her so far that she was able to stand up for herself and become a strong woman who knew who she really was. He helped Rika become the woman she was without even knowing it.
I really admire Penelope Douglas for writing this story, it was so glaringly obvious that it was written from the heart, and her diversity from writing New Adult, Contemporary Romance, and now Erotica, is what makes her one of my top favourite authors that I will read anything that she has written the moment I can get my hands on it.
There was something quite wrong about a bunch of rich kids playing games with a girl, a sixteen year old one at that, but stories like these are like a drug to me and I can't get enough. I thought it was so unique and clever and even though 'The Four Horsemen' were quite often sadistic in their words and actions towards Rika, I lapped it up like a junkie.
All in all, this book had my name written all over it and whilst I can understand it's not every bodies cup of tea, I for one thought it was fucking fantastic.
Corrupt is an Erotic Romance, told in dual POV, past & present.
Absolutely loved this story, it was so emotional and beautiful and I really didn't know what to expect when I picked this book up.
Archer doesn't speakAbsolutely loved this story, it was so emotional and beautiful and I really didn't know what to expect when I picked this book up.
Archer doesn't speak, he is unable to communicate with the outside world and it isn't until Bree shows up in town that he comes to life. His vulnerability was so endearing I just thought he was so lovely and his relationship with Bree was wonderful.
There are a lot of sad moments in this book so be prepared....more

This was a very unique book and although back in the day I loved a historical romance it isn't really my thing anymore so I wouldn't normally have gone for something like this. However, I love Shay's leading men and this one just stood out to me and I had to read it as soon as it was released.
Ehd is a caveman, he is very lonely after losing his tribe and is feeling weak after a very hard winter in the steppes. One day he comes across a woman stuck in one of his traps, but she is a very strange woman like nothing he has ever seen before.
This book is told completely in Ehd's head - he doesn't talk obviously, but he can communicate and he and Beh form a beautiful relationship. It is a basic human instinct for a man to love and protect a woman and when he claims Beh as his mate he takes his role very seriously.
I laughed a lot, then I cried and a lot of time I was trying to work out what he was trying to describe in his primitive mind. Some of the story was repetitive, for example the grooming and the way Ehd would describe his feelings but it didn't bother me at all, it was a truly wonderful story.
I am glad we didn't get Beh's point of view as I think that would have taken the feel of the story away but I would love to read this story from her eyes in another book or novella.

We met Ben in previous books working as a bouncer at Penny's lapdancing club but we really didn't know much about him but it's not hard to fall in love with his cocky personality.
It starts off in Cancun, Reese is celebrating her 21st birthday after her heartbreaking divorce and meets Ben who has just finished Law School and has left Penny's for a real job. After a some-what humiliating scene in the bedroom, they part ways and don't expect to see each other again... that's until the first day of Ben's new job at Reece's stepdads firm.
What follows is a blossoming friendship - Ben is just helping Reece out in her quest for revenge on her ex-husband, and Reece is returning the favour by warding off the attentions of an amourous stripper intent on becoming his girlfriend.
Ben is anti commitment and Reece is never going down that path again so they just remain friends, with a few benefits during their fake boyfriend/girlfriend roles.
When Ben starts taking Reece to visit his Mama at the family Orange Grove, we discover why Ben is the way he is and when tragedy strikes there is nowhere else they'd rather be.
Great characters, strong female lead and witty banter made this book for me. My only complaint is that I'd have like a bit more steam.

Stephanie Kendrick is a soon to be senior at NYU and now summer's here she decides that rather than go home and face her demons, she will take a summer class in Classic Film Narratives. She is slightly erring on the side of Goth, with her dark hair, dark clothes and dark moods and a typical example of an ex popular princess turned tortured soul.
Ethan Price is a Preppy Frat Boy, who comes from the upper elite of Manhattan. After a recent break up from his childhood sweatheart, he decides he wants a summer off interning at his fathers company and elects to join the film buffs instead.
When the two are paired together for a project, they decide to recreate the classic story of Pygmalion, and Ethan decides that this bizarre pairing could work to his advantage. He will offer her a much needed place to stay for the summer, and in return Stephanie become his fake girlfriend. However, like in the film, in order to do that, he needs to give her a makeover in order to please his families social circle.
"One month. You lose the boots, and the attitude, and do your best to convince my parents that we're crazy in love or something."
As summer progresses, they both become confused as to what is real and what is pretend. Not only that, but how compatible can they be if they are from completely different worlds? _ _ _ _
The banter and chemistry between these two ticked all my boxes and I had a huge smile on my face throughout the whole entire book. I highlighted so many funny moments.
I really fell in love with both of the characters, especially Ethan <3
Although the steam level was fairly low, it didn't bother me in the slightest because it was such a feel good, butterflies type of book. I have already read the third book in this series Crushed, which I loved, so now I will be diving straight onto the second, Broken.

I was a HUGE fan of Bully, so I was pissing my pants with excitement for this one and I wasn't disappointed. I love the Love/Hate storyline, I think it has to be a favourite of mine, all that angry sex - yes please!
The prologue takes place when they are both 16, Madoc's dad is married to Fallon's mum and they don't really get along, they go to the same school but don't have much to do with each other during the day.
2 years later, Fallon comes home from boarding school having been sent there unexpectedly, and she wants revenge. When Madoc hears of her return he is thrown for a loop and responds with snarky comments and nasty barbs. What follows is the discovery of what went on 2 years ago and the reason behind their rocky relationship.
Deep down, Madoc is an adorable, sensitive person who hides behind his jokey persona and Fallon is a spunky woman who is determined not to lose herself to her past.

This book is New Adult, but don't be put off - It's pretty steamy, the sex scenes were brilliant and the emotional connection between the 2 MCs was great. There was a decent amount of drama and angst, nothing over the top.
I wanted to come at her. Again and again until she came undone. I wanted her screaming and crying. I wanted to chip away this tough little act until she was red with anger and sobbing miserably. I wanted her broken. And then I wanted her shivering and grabbing for me in need.
Wow, I loved this. YA at it's best for me, I do love a bad boy.

Jared and Tate have been friends for years, but one summer after visiting his dad, Jared comes back and acts like he hates her. All through High School he bullies her relentlessly. After taking a year out in France, Tate returns for her senior year vowing not to take any more shit and so the story begins.
These two hate each other but holy moly - CHEMISTRY IS OFF THE CHARTS!
We find out the reasons behind his dick behaviour, and to be fair to Tate she doesn't let him back in without making him work for it, she's strong and has pride.
Giving in felt like letting him win. And telling him to stop was out of the question too. I didn't want him to stop. He felt too good. Like a roller coaster multiplied by one hundred
He can't win. He can't treat me like shit and then have me.
OK, it was a bit predictable but I really didn't care. If you like love/hate relationships and bad boy's you will love this. ...more
