Rowbottoms

[edit]

Should there be any mention of the Joseph Rowbottom family at the dental school? Philly jawn (talk) 03:52, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Citations

[edit]

I've noticed that a user has added a few citations to the article, and then removed the cleanup and citation templates. I put the templates back on the article page as this has not yet been addressed. I want to note that while citations are much appreciated, they were improperly formatted as external links, rather than references. Also, there are links (used as citations) on the page that refer to the 2011 ADEA Official Guide to Dental Schools purchasing page. This is not a proper citation and more importantly, it is not verifiable . The citation should refer to the actual page the information is on, either physically in the book, or a non-password protected webpage. Please use <ref>...</ref> syntax with the appropriate Cite template, such as {{Cite book}} and {{Cite web}}. It makes for a better (and better looking) article. Proposed merger

[edit]

I've proposed merging Pennsylvania College of Dental Surgery into this article. I had in mind rationale # 3 for merging, under Wikipedia:Merging. Which states

"There are several good reasons to merge a page ... Text: If a page is very short and is unlikely to be expanded within a reasonable amount of time, it often makes sense to merge it with a page on a broader topic."

Pennsylvania College of Dental Surgery's article is 6 years old, and 2 sentences long. And, coincidentally, relies for its ref on a url of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. The school itself merged into this school over 100 years ago.--Epeefleche (talk) 00:34, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Agree There is actually no reason that it should've had a separate article to begin with. The Haz talk 02:06, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have briefly worked on creating a history section in Pennsylvania College of Dental Surgery --there are numerous sources I have cited and numerous more which could be cited. But it is already long enough to be kept.--Milowenthasspoken 15:26, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
