Patric Pfeiffer (born 20 August 1999) is a German professional footballer who plays as a defender for Swiss club Young Boys, on loan from FC Augsburg.[1]

Early life

Pfeiffer was born in Hamburg.[2] He is of Ghanaian descent.[3]

Club career

In the summer of 2019, Pfeiffer joined SV Darmstadt 98 from Hamburger SV.[4]

On 1 June 2023, FC Augsburg signed Pfeiffer from SV Darmstadt 98 for free to a 4-year contract.[5]

On 14 August 2024, Pfeiffer joined Young Boys in Switzerland on a season-long loan.[6]

International career

Born in Germany, but also having Ghanaian origins, Pfeiffer is eligible to represent both countries internationally.[7]

In July 2022, the president of the Ghana FA, Kurt Okraku, announced that Pfeiffer was one of the few players that had officially switched allegiances to represent the Ghanaian senior national team internationally.[8]
