anytime i see a person in public giving off indications that they're nervous (biting nails scratching their face etc..) i grab them by the shoulders and throw them really far away

i don't think we appreciate how incredible symbolism actually is. we defined a bunch of shapes and repeating patterns and imbued them with meaning using nothing but our own minds and the power of communication. how does that not drive you crazy just thinking about it.

because of symbolism i can experience life changing expressions of our common existence and have interesting conversations with my friends and enjoy art and look at the world around me with wonder and write weird shit on the internet for other weirdos. thank you symbolism.

someone tagged one of my fundraising posts with "cw palestine". there are no photos on my post, no graphic descriptions. just people's names and how far they are from their goals. even if i had included photos or recounted suffering in intricate detail, how dare you? how fucking dare you put a content warning on people BEGGING for your attention when your tax dollars sponsor their destruction? no one can turn away and still claim a conscience.

I can buy the concept of romance existing but the social song and dance of Dating specifically is so, like. Ok. So we're all just expected to walk around performing desirability & having coffee with people you find mildly interesting & Hopefully you will Feel Something for one of them. & if you keep it up long enough you can get legally bound and financially dependent on each other and have kids or something, not because you want them but because you're so fucking normal. This is supposed to be your #1 priority in life btw. Are you insane?

And people will be like "you'll never be happy if you don't successfully have coffee with someone you think is mildly interesting, it's so sad that you're not having coffee with someone you think is mildly interesting" & I'm sitting here like I don't think that's true actually I think I'm doing pretty good. I have other things fulfilling my admittedly lower than average need for human connection, like friends
