CBS News continues its dominance on Sundays.   🕒 60 MINUTES returned for its 57th season and was Sunday’s #1 non-sports program, drawing in 10.5 million viewers. Sunday’s premiere was a Top 10 broadcast for the week, with original reporting on the Jan. 6 insurrection, tensions in the South China Sea, and an interview with Dua Lipa. 60 Minutes ended last season as the #1 news show in America for 50 straight years.   ☀️ CBS Sunday Morning marked its 687th week as the #1 Sunday morning news program in viewers, with news-making interviews with the Connie Chung, Hillary Clinton, LL Cool J, and more.   📈 Face the Nation was #1 across all key demos, ranking #1 in total viewers for the fourth consecutive season. Margaret Brennan moderated news-making discussions with vice presidential nominee Sen. 60 MINUTES returns Sunday for season 57, which will feature 90-minute episodes, a Monday primetime election special, and more ways to enjoy the iconic newsmagazine.   With the debut of a new FAST channel and an original audio series, executive producer Bill Owens tells Forbes “…The best 60 Minutes stories reveal something new or take viewers on unforgettable journeys. We are excited to share our reporting and bring these adventures to even more people, wherever and whenever they choose to watch or listen.”   These extensions position 60 MINUTES alongside 48 Hours and CBS Mornings in expanding their reach across new platforms. Wendy McMahon outlines the “broadcast and beyond” strategy for CBS News and Stations, which maximizes our most valuable IP and extends our trusted brands across new platforms to engage new audiences. “We’re growing our reach with brand extensions, innovative storytelling, and data-driven decisions to introduce our award-winning journalism to even more people,” McMahon said.
