We've just installed a lovely new built-in bookcase into our home office.
On a crazy whim I decided it would be a great idea to scan all my books as I shelved them. After looking into the various options for smartphone apps, it turns out that dear old Library Thing was the best one for me (unlimited books, no in-app purchases, a barcode scanner and the best privacy profile out of all of them). So I have reactivated my old account from a decade ago and curious to see who is (still) on here.
I will mostly use this platform as a cataloging tool for my IRL books, but once I start exploring I may become more active in other areas, especially wishlists and collections.
