About the Author

Thomas Ridley Sharpe (born March 30, 1928) was an English satirical author, best known for his Wilt series, as well as Porterhouse Blue and Blott on the Landscape, which were both adapted for British television. Sharpe died in Spain on June 6, 2013. He was 85 years old. (Bowker Author Biography)

The Throwback by Tom Sharpe

This book replaced Wilt as my favourite Tom Sharpe book. Crazy, unbelievably funny. If there's one book of Tom Sharpe you have to read them this should be the one.

Grantchester Grind (Porterhouse Blue, #2) by Tom Sharpe

While I found Jonathan Cecil's narration excellent, this sequel to Sharpe's "Porterhouse Blue" was less hilarious especially towards the end.

Wilt by Tom Sharpe

Good British humor. A murder mystery without a murder. I believe I have found a new British author to follow. Tom Sharp is a master of the satirical farce.
