The story is the standard feminism tale about a poor woman who's put through a terrible ordeal, only to go back and exact revenge on all men, even if they had nothing to do with what happened to her.
The message is loud and clear: men are bad. Surely not all men, you think? But, alas, the book continuously repeats that "All men deserve to die".
And the silly thing about it is that the whole thing is built upon a major flaw, namely the fact that the only reason the main character was kidnapped and tortured in the first place was because she pretended to be a man. This means that as bad as she was treated, it only happened to her because the perpetrators thought she was a man. I kept hoping the authors would come to this obvious realization and have the main character understand that women were much better off after all, but no. Men are bad and women are good, especially when they murder men. The end.… (more)
