Did not like. The historical setting didn't seem to gel. From the description, I expected more bondage than I got.

This was the sequel to A Royal Pain and also suffered from the completely unrealistically unwieldy dialogue. It's the pretty standard romance formula but the characters are fun enough that I didn't really care. I probably won't be continuing on with the series but the first two books were a fun diversion.

I have some mixed feelings about this because the dialogue seemed unnecessarily and unrealistically complex and twisty. Real people do not talk like that! And the dialogue did throw me out of the story several times while reading and I found myself rolling my eyes a bit.

But the characters were fun and adorable. That actually describes the book fairly well: fun and adorable. A light, fluffy, and quick read.

Pretty toxic. I just wanted a fun read but got slapped in the face with relationship warning signs popping up. Like the dude (already forgot his name) pressuring her to have his kid right after they get engaged. Sounds healthy ?!? So much for a "feminist" character. Both of them are manipulative.
