I should have known going into this that this author was going to put me through the emotional equivalent of hell on earth. Somehow, she always does. Yet, I forgot. Not sure how.

From the first paragraph I was riveted to every single word. I needed answers. The story has it all. Suspense, love, heartbreak, turmoil, and a unique story. The characters were some of the best of the best. The story itself, un-effing-believable. I held off reading this until the second part was out because there was no way I could survive being left in limbo. In this case it would have been another level of Dante's hell. I can't wait to get my answers and to see what other emotions this author can bring out in me.… (more)

In the best of 2019

I always know when I read a book by this author that I'm going to go on an emotional journey. That I will experience a maelstrom of emotions. She did it again to me. So many questions. I should be used to it with her. However, I never am.

There is always a twist. No matter how many times I think I have it figured out I'm ALWAYS wrong. As mad as I wanted to be at a certain character in this I couldn't because they were joy personified. Hadley, Caven, and Rosalee were life. I'm so hooked on them and needing to find out why this has evolved the way that it has. Caven and Hadley experienced something so horrible that my heart hurts. I just need to figure out how it all ties together.

Holy Crikey.

Yeah... This book... This had more twists and turns and what-the-ever-living-hell moments than my poor heart was prepared for. So many questions answered even some I didn't know I needed to ask.

This author truly is one of the best out there. Her stories, characters, and details in creating a foundation is truly in a league of its own. It's rare to leave me speechless, especially from an ending I didn't even see coming, but this author just did it again.

My advice to anyone reading this, go in blind. If you think you have this figured out, trust me, you don't. Hands down best duet of 2019.… (more)

Holy hell

Every time I think that this author cannot get any better, she proved me wrong. EVERY. TIME. Each book she writes is different. No characters are the same (unless it is a duet) and all are powerful. She evokes a maelstrom of emo in her stylistic choices, the story, and the outcome. There is always a twist, one that I never see coming, and more often than nought even forget that she is going to put it in the story. That is how good she is.

Thea and Ramsey. My heart hurts for these two. Every interaction made me either smile or I felt my heart physically ache for them. They reminded me why I dreamed of love. They were truly an example of why love is precious, and fragile, and ugly, and moreover, priceless.… (more)
