Six years before Wyatt was living in Paris, as a struggling jazz artist. He was gay (he still is), but finding company was not first in his list of things to do, and so when he was at first approached by Zach, he was not very friendly. But Zach was nice and clearly not comfortable in the gay scene at all, and maybe Wyatt was moved by the man more than he wanted to admit. Wyatt and Zach spent two wonderful weeks in Paris, sightseeing and loving, but at the end of the two weeks Zach returned back in the closet, in Canada, leaving Zach alone in Paris. Life then forced also Wyatt to leave Paris and he was never happy again after that.
Coincidences and love, make a pact to bring back Zach and Wyatt in Paris at the same time. Now it's Zach who pursues and Wyatt who runs away: Wyatt is no more willing to suffer and he fears to fall in love again with Zach; doesn't matter that obviously something happened in Zach's life and that he is no more the man of six years before.
The story is medium long, 95 pages, but it is really romantic, as it should be for a story setting in Paris. Even if Wyatt is rough, he obviously doesn't want to punish Zach; all right the man left him, but Wyatt knows that he is not entirely Zach's fault if Wyatt's life is not what he would like to be. And so yes, Wyatt is not very friendly with Zach, but he neither rejects Zach's advances, as he didn't do in the past. Actually Wyatt's behavior isn't changed much, he is still impulsive, doing and saying things that regrets soon later. And Zach is the same, avoiding Wyatt's bursts to reach the man behind.
All in all I like the story, it's nice and romantic, the style is simple and the play of past and present that mix gives a good rhythm to the story, that flows smooth and fast.
