About the Author
Olivier Dunrea was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1953. He earned a B.A. from West Chester State College in 1975 and his M.A. in theater and music from Washington State University the following year. Beginning in 1983 Dunrea has written and illustrated more than 50 books for children. The show more gosling characters Gossie and Ollie are two of his most beloved creations. Meet Gossie, a small yellow gosling who loves to wear bright red boots--every day. One morning Gossie can't find her beloved boots. She looks everywhere for them: under the bed, over the wall, even in the barn. Preschoolers will enjoy helping Gossie find her red boots and delight in where Gossie finally finds them.
Ruby and Rufus love the water. They like to swim and dive. They like to play with the fish. One day they go to the pond to find it is frozen. What will they do now?
This was adorable! I loved the illustrations. They were bright and colorful. I liked Ruby and Rufus. They may have liked the same things, but they put their spin on each thing they liked. I also liked that they discovered what they could do on a frozen pond. It was fun!
