Follows a chestnut tree through the seasons as it sprouts from its seed, blossoms, grows, sheds leaves, and drops new chestnuts that will one day become trees.

Shiny pages with interspersed transparent pages that have drawings on them that change the pages they cover. I'm not sure that was as clear as the pages; anyway, it's nifty. The book teachers a lot about colors.

These little "First Discovery Books" are so wonderful. I love the clear overleafs on the detailed bright pictures. Even though these are for very little children, I think of these little books as miniature works of art.
