Storm Tracker: Meet the newest member of the First Alert Storm Team!

When severe weather is in the forecast, KALB is committed to keeping you informed. The newest member of the First Alert Storm Team brings the latest storm-tracking technology to Central Louisiana. Our KALB Storm Tracker, in partnership with Laborde Earles Law Firm, makes it easier to see inside the storm from the studio to the streets.

The Storm Tracker allows the KALB First Alert Storm Team meteorologists to cover storms from all angles. Whether it’s a severe storm, a winter storm, or flooding, multiple cameras inside and out allow us to get you the most up-to-date and accurate information.

The KALB Storm Tracker has a state-of-the-art satellite uplink on the roof and cameras inside give you a look at conditions in real-time.

The Storm Tracker’s onboard weather station gives you the latest information, like temperature and wind speed. And of course, you can see the passenger of the Storm Tracker will be there to deliver the most up-to-date information.

If there’s damage, the Storm Tracker is rugged enough to get there to show you what’s happening. With the ability to go live anywhere, we can use this vehicle to provide the community with life-saving updates in Central Louisiana and in the rest of the state.
