BOIL ADVISORIES:

Spring Bayou Water System

What to do once a boil advisory is lifted:

Run cold water faucets for one minute * Run drinking water fountains for one minute * Flush automatic ice makers (make three batches of ice and discard) * Run water softeners through a regeneration cycle * Run water coolers with direct water connections for five minutes. If you have any boil advisory information, click here to send us an email. Please include the organization issuing the advisory and all of the areas affected. Remember to let us know when the advisory has been lifted.

ROAD CLOSURES/DELAYS:

Avoyelles Parish - Effective immediately, a section of LA 1190 (Spring Bayou Road) in the City of Marksville will be closed for emergency roadway repair. This closure is located between Elm Street and Willow Street, approximately 0.5 miles east of N. Main Street (LA 115). For the safety of the traveling public, LA 1190 at the referenced location will be closed on Sept. 17. DOTD will mobilize to begin repairs on the morning of Sept. 18.

EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE: LA 1190 in Marksville, Avoyelles Parish(LADOTD)

Rapides Parish - LA 1250, Pineville, will be closed at the Kansas City Southern Railroad track on September 21 from 7 AM with a re-opening to traffic at 7 PM on September 21. The work is being done at milepost 0.550 and is on control section 142-01. The closure is for CPKC Railroad to replace the crossties thru the crossing.
Rapides Parish - On September 24 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the ramp on I-49 (Southbound) over RAILROAD AVE AND UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD will be closed to all traffic for bridge repair. The ramp is at Exit 86, which carries traffic from I-49 Southbound to US 71/165 Southbound (MacArthur Dr) and is located at the I-49 AND US 71/165 INTERCHANGE.
Grant Parish - On October 7-26, the bridge on LA 34 over CREEK will be closed for bridge maintenance. The bridge is located 1.42 MI EAST OF US 71 near Montgomery.
