My eyes are glazing over. I do love decorating, I swear I do. I am one of those people that just inhales HGTV, but so far this book is boring reading about renovating an inn. I wonder if Roberts includes any pictures since someone told me this is based off of an inn she really does own. Right now they are in the Penthouse which according to the site is for Roarke and Eve. I maybe spit water out all over.

DNF at 20 percent. I just don't care about this inn or he room decorations. This is straight up boring. The obvious romance is too. And I find it really weird the Montgomery matriarch is barely developed besides ohhh decorating.

“You’re standing in The Lobby—double glass doors where you came in—they’ll look out on The Courtyard. Tile floor, nice pattern, with a tile rug centered to highlight the big round table under the chandelier. The light’s kind of contemporary and cool, and organic. Looks like white glass pieces that melted. Mom wants big, showy flowers on the table. Couple of slipper chairs there.”

My eyes are glazing over as rooms are described. I'm sorry this is boring. Beckett is boring. And I swear Roberts had a similar character like Clare in her Key of Knowledge trilogy (single mother) though Clare has three boys. She's widowed cause of an Iraqi sniper killed her husband. I'm so bored by these storylines in romance books.

I am in a car pool so we have to actually leave on time and I need to just get cat litter and laundry detergent. Thank goodness I shopped weeks ago and plused up on some items this weekend. I should be good. I hope you all have some books to keep you warm!

Screw it. This will be my live update book of the day. At work and can't do anything since my boss is stuck in Baltimore until at least 1 pm or so. And I am heading out early due to the snowstorm Stella (seriously???) that is supposed to hit about 7 pm.

Point of order no one goes to Sheetz and buys coffee and donuts. You get a sammich or a bagel or something. No one buys donuts. If this book doesn't bring up bucket of fries it loses 1,000 points.

My friend who loves all things Nora Roberts got the trilogy this weekend. She asked me to read along since this does deal with renovations and I'm always yelling at House Hunters Renovations so the possibility of me enjoying this is high. I have passed on the other trilogies in the last few years since they started getting samey to me.
