I knew early on this book wasn’t it for me but I was already in a reading slump and figured, might as well just finish it. NGL, I kind of hated every single character in this book lol. The MC was the worst of it. She was so annoying (which is probably the point, but still…annoying). I didn’t see the obsessive appeal of Caleb. I’ve been waiting to read this one for a while because I heard good things and it came so recommended but sadly, I was super disappointed in this. Most of the book is spent on the move just walking from place to place, no real plan or plot for the characters. I wanted to see more of this world rather than hear about it through convoluted and tiring dialogue. I figure maybe we’ll see more of the world in the rest of the series but I will not be co ...more
