my response at the end of this book o_O
idk, I feel like the 2 star rating is really appropriate. It was ok. It wasn't bad, but also kinda not that great. This book was kinda to the point that I felt like I needed to finish it to get some closure, but I didn't. Lets be honest, Noah is pretty much a tool and thinks that everyone who isn't British like him should basically bow in his presence. I like a cocky character, but you shouldn't have to state your cockiness. I didn't really find anything endearing about him. Mara is kinda one dimensional, she pretends to be all independent and a strong person, but she spends so much of the book thinking about how Noah's face look and describing how great he is (even after she just met him and he was a total toolbag). I don't wanna say it here, but Bella? And then the book took a right turn into a sort of unexplainable supernatural element with people dying and healing and I was just left thinking, what? Idk, I thought the book was more fun when it was a look at how people deal with tragedy and issues, not how some girl kills people because her old boyfriend was mean to her. Sorry, but Jude being mean to her doesn't justify all the rest of the death. I was certain that somehow it was going to turn out she was some sort of reaper, which would have been cool. But no. Oh well.
