it was amazing

In just one week, this book transformed a relatively normal woman into someone who's been saying, "Well, in this book I'm reading. . . you know, Outliers? Yeah, there's this section on. . . there's this part about. . . You should read this chapter. . . No, no, just wait here and let me read these 3 pages out loud for you. . . Have you read it? Oh, you haven't? Let me just show you this one page, it'll just take a minute!"

I can't think of one reason why you shouldn't join me in my enthusiasm.

Candi Julie, my 11th grader was just mentioning he wants to read a book called Outliers, and I was searching to see what it was all about. I believe this is the right book! I'm glad to see your enthusiasm for this! Do you think it would keep the interest of a 16 year old boy? He seemed pretty excited about it, so I think that alone should be enough to encourage him :)

Julie G Candi, I am not exaggerating when I tell you that I think about this book every couple of weeks, and I still quote from it. My son was just about your son's age, when I made him read it! Fascinating stuff!

That's fantastic, Julie! Now I want to read it too! Did your son like it?

Julie G I think he said something like. . . you read almost the whole book aloud to me before you handed it to me, Mom.

Do you think that would translate to 4 stars?

Lol! At least 4! Maybe 4.5 ;)

Tatevik doesn’t get notifications Julie, had exactly the same experience as you had with this. I think I told the whole book frim start to finish at least twice.

Julie G Aayushi,
I can't imagine that you're going to have anything other than fun with this one! I love this book.

Lisa I loved this one too! It was a read aloud with my husband on a road trip several years ago. I really enjoyed having the immediacy to talk about points as we read.
