it was amazing

A book where nature comes alive and strong character seek to overcome their flaws and live God-directed lives.

I’ve hiked through the redwoods, and the book brought back memories of those great trees and the plants and animals that thrive there. I also learned more about the history of preservation that save these trees for us to enjoy. But most important, the characters in this book hooked me and kept me reading. They were realistically written as they tried to follow God’s direction, but sometimes failed and had to rise up and try again—and learn to forgive themselves for those failings.

I enjoyed the authenticity of the two different time periods, the realistic characters, and the sense of inspiration to both admire God’s beautiful creation and to take responsibility to be good stewards of this earth.
