The second in the series is not for the faint of heart. It is sad. Very sad. Death, drugs and love are all on the horizon for Rainey Paxton as she tries to get her sister off the streets. Her sister was sold by her parents to their drug dealer. She now sells drugs and has been made to prostitute herself. On top of all that, she still blames Rainey for leaving her alone with their drugged-out parents when she was sent to jail. Can Rainey make her see there is more to life? That Rainey herself didn't have a choice but to go to jail? Or will her sister be doomed to the streets forever. As Rainey forges ahead with her life, she meets Rosemary who becomes a mother to her. Their friendship is all Rainey lives for at times. A great second in the series, but it literally broke my heart.
