reread (09/24): I love this book so much 😭 Tristan and Morana have my heart, I adore them, they deserve all the happiness in the world. All the scenes between them are so beautiful, especially all those intimate moments of vulnerability 🥹 Can’t wait to see them again in the last book.

My mafia romance obsessed self is back!

This book took me on a wild ride and I really didn't expect to go through so many emotions while reading it. I didn't love the first book and a lot of things didn't work for me, but this one surpassed all my expectations. IT'S SO GOOD!

Although it's not perfect, I loved every single second of it. I devoured this book, it was all I thought about when I wasn't reading it and I'm sure I'll be thinking about the characters for a long time. I didn't see it coming but I have become so attached to them.

The plot is amazing, it made my heart race, the pacing is great and the twists were crazy (one of my theories was right and that always makes me happy). I think it's a very clever plot, it makes a lot of sense and nothing is random.

「“You,” she whispered to the space between them, “Tristan Caine, are a beautiful, beautiful man. And my heart beats for you.”」

The character development left me speechless. I feel such a strong connection to Morana, she's a badass. She's strong and independent, stands up for herself and goes after what she wants. And she's so sweet and caring, this girl had no love growing up and the fact that she never let go of her kindness makes me want to cry. I didn't know what to think of Tristan in the first book, but I love him so much now. My heart breaks for the little boy who has been through so much trauma, who has suffered at the hands of people who have never shown him an ounce of empathy or love. But I'm proud of the man he has become. He's flawed and fucked up, but he's a good man.

I loved the development of Tristan and Morana's relationship. The tension was still there, along with the sizzling chemistry, but we get to see a more intimate side of their connection, and I needed that. Watching two broken souls find solace in each other never fails to melt my heart. Their love is so beautiful and pure. I grinned like a fool, my heart was pounding in my chest and I felt all the butterflies in my stomach. I wouldn't mind if the book was longer, just so I could spend more time with them!

Like a planet that suddenly pulls a moon into its orbit, she had bound him to her, given him direction for longer than she knew, gave him purpose to exist.」

RuNyx writes so beautifully and with such deep emotion that I can feel everything.

I had the best time reading this book and never wanted it to end. I'm so curious to see what happens in the next books, there are so many things left to be revealed.
