This is full of tropey goodness. ✔️ enemies-to-lovers ✔️ hung up on dead ex ✔️ H engaged to h’s sister ✔️ child with OM … there’s angst, drama, humor ✔️✔️✔️
After being kicked out of her home Lily Lawson has been living on the fridges of society trying to locate her missing child. Hanging with her bestie Derek Craven (H from book 2) and living by her own rules when’s she’s approached by her sister’s childhood love to stop her betrothal to Alex Raiford.
Bottom Line- I’m not going to spend too much time on this, there are a ton of reviews out there. It’s a solid romance with enjoyable characters.

This is a great one, I have the dead tree copy. The next in the series is my fave, Derek Craven is the hero in that one (if memory serves.) Love LK.

How you be?! I swear, we have no great a$$hole heros anymore to dis and love, I'm having to get my thrills in little bits and snippets of book passages. Ugh.🥺

I hope you are doing awesome too. I'm with you though, there's no great Asshole Hero stories out there. The authors have been brow beaten by the trigger chicks, and now they are terrified to write stories of these types of heroes, lest the trigger chicks unleash their rabid pack of crybaby down voters onto their stories. It's so infuriating.

You know, this isn't even political correctness. It's about control, kinda like how a rapist is not after sex, but after control of another human being. And I don't make that comparison lightly. Obviously, it's no where near the level of a physical rape, but it's a mental crime of control. It really does scare me, when you put it into the larger context. Authors are bending though, because they have to make a living, and one good concerted effort can bring down a promising new writer. I guess we re read and hunt, hunt, hunt and support where we can.

I have seen a few authors stating how these gals not only down rate the stories, but they contact the author via messaging, and some can (and DO) get very abusive and threatening towards the authors for writing themes and genres that the TC don't like. It's a horrible time to witness in our history. This is a form of censoring equivalent to book burning, It's crazy to me that GR allows this to go on.
