I loved this book. I loved the characters, watching Evelyn teach Monique so much in such a short time. Her life story contains so many important elements, but none of them overpower the others. Idk if that makes sense, but I was telling my sister if I would compare it to a movie, I would say Ladybird. It’s a book where everything happens, but nothing happens. It is just LIFE (the life of a super famous movie star, but stilllll). It’s told in such a raw and methodical way that it feels balanced and I FELT for the characters. The love story weaved throughout and the irony of the title<3 I can’t wait to read another one of her books.
