Same here, I'm starting to doubt whether I actually enjoyed TLH 😂

Sylvie {Semi-Hiatus} You giving these novellas 2 stars is low key giving me life. 😅

✦ rhythm ✦ I’m not even gonna try reading these books as i dnf’ed the most beloved TLH too😂

mwana I just saw another review say maybe one day the author will stop writing herself with Adam Driver and maybe then she can write a good book but there was nothing about The Love Hypothesis that implied artistic ability. I'm still not over the whole boob in the mouth scene from that.

To my core, I am a hater. 😌

Yes, if you didn't like TLH, you certainly won't like these novellas. 😂

Literally traumatized from that scene. Adam must have a pharyngeal jaw or something. But I agree, regardless of the weird Adam Driver obsession, this author's books still lack.

Safe to say that writing these reviews was the most enjoyable part of my reading experience. And glad to see we are censoring R*yl* now. It activates my fight or flight.

In my review of TLH one of the commenters said she experimented with her partner and it's not possible so big man probably had an anaconda jaw

I don't care what gets people off but the books are a menace

I thank this commenter for their contribution to the scientific community. Adam has a snake jaw: confirmed.

Alexis The "physically-cringing" shelf 💀

It's the best way to describe how I felt tbh 😭

#MOOD

Glad i stopped after the second novella, the same "sneak peak" chapter of Love on the Brain at the end of E V E R Y 🤬 book did not give me hope nor inspire my will to continue...Zoe has a wonderful review for Check & Mate with amazing suggestions for Ladies in STEM stories that honestly have me craving those books instead 🫠

I feel you. It took me a while to finally realize it, but now I'm sure that my enjoyment for TLH might have just been a right timing type of thing. And if the Zoe you are referencing is who I think you are talking about, I haven't read her review of Check & Mate yet, I'll make sure to do that, but it's obvious that there are so many people that liked or loved TLH (and the fact that it's about woman in STEM) that are understandably frustrated with the lack of originality.

Aoife - Bookish_Babbling I thought at the time that my enjoyment of TLH was "right book/right time" as so many of the tropes that happen therein, in the wrong mood would've gotten right up my nose 🙈

It is a pity that so many of her characters/stories have been following such similar patterns/beats...fingers crossed she can find her way out of the woods on this and maybe we'll eventually flock back 🤗 😅

Aoife - Bookish_Babbling PS - this is Zoe's review that I mentioned above

I would love to see someone flesh any of these ideas out into a story🤩

For sure! So many of the tropes used I would not have been able to tolerate any other time.

Thanks for linking the review! They are good suggestions. I agree, I love the fact that Hazelwood's books surround woman in STEM, but she needs to spice things up a bit. I'd be willing to give her another shot, but only if she finally decides to take a risk and do something different.
