really liked it

This contemporary adventure romance reads like a Young Adult novel, but older readers will enjoy it too—even seniors like me. Set against the stunning backdrop of Yellowstone National Park, we experience the magnificent scenery and interaction with wildlife through the eyes of the young female protagonist, Cady Jackson, and the park ranger who rescues her. Cady and her cousin, Ashley, seek to explore life outside the confines of their ultra-conservative upbringing. Cady continues to guard her heart and enjoy photographing nature, unlike Ashley, who tests the limits that bound her all her life.

Ranger Grant McClintoch isn’t looking for a relationship but this sweet young woman intrigues him. I’m so glad he respected Cady’s boundaries and for the way the author honestly portrayed their blossoming relationship. The story contains plenty of danger—physically and emotionally. It’s refreshing to read about a character who stands on her principles and doesn’t give in to the way “everyone” does things. I recommend the book for older teens and up. I received a copy from Celebrate Lit. All opinions are my own.
